Questions About Ted's Remedies for Demodex Infestation

Posted By Suffering (Chula Vista, Ca) on 01/08/2016

I am suffering so much. I've had a severe demodex infestation since middle November and have practically bathed in tea tree oil, mustard, clove, taken ivemectin, permitherin to no avail. I think Ted's assertion that the DMSO will penetrate below the surface is a great one, been doing Ted's internal borax remedy, but I finally started Tony's mustard remedy 2 weeks ago. I am convinced that Ted's assertion that a carrier that penetrates is needed to get the mustard to the eggs, but I don't understand what DMSO is and what for it should take? Should I buy the cream, lotion, liquid to mix with castor oil and mustard powder? People say it's available from feed store, but what form is it in the feed store and is that the appropriate one? What am I supposed to buy? a lotion cream, powder, liquid? I want to order so that I can get started. I can't stand the terrible itching, creepy crawly feelings. I have an appt scheduled with an immunologist to find out about my immune system, but I really want to feel better and get my life back.

This is what worked for me:

I used the Borax water (1/2) and ACV (1/2) to get rid of the eggs under the skin. The ACV is the carrier and the Borax washes the protective coating off of the eggs and they die. I would shower every day (sometimes twice) and rinse off with the above mentioned solution. Bathe, towel dry off and then rub the solution all over (including your scalp and hair) and DO NOT rinse. Stand around for about 5-10 minutes and air dry). I stopped itching in a couple of weeks. I don't remember how long the adult mites live, but I put all of my concentration into getting rid of and keeping rid of the eggs. Put 1/8 cup of Borax in a gallon jug of water, give it a good hard shake and let it sit for about half an hour. The water will absorb all of the Borax that it can and you needn't worry about the little bit of residual Broax at the bottom of the container. Good Luck!

You should be able to get DMSO at a farm and home store. Look in the section for horses. It comes in a gel. Maybe other forms, too. You can mix it with other things to help them penetrate. It comes in different percentages. 70% is the most you want to use on skin. But if they have 90% or whatever, you can dilute it with water or whatever else you are using. Maybe test on a small area first to make sure it doesn't bother you.

I mixed colman's mustard powder 1/2 tsp. with an eighth cup of coconut oil and a tbsp of cocobutter lotion. The mites shot out of my pores after about 3 minutes of applying. The mustard will burn but not bad..and do not get in eyes!

The mustard powder and water doesn't seem like it's enough for whole body. How much to put on the whole body to get rid of mites?

I'm had this problem and am now rid of it. I did a lot of harsh things to myself and these methods did not help enough. This is what helped me: (gleaned most of this from Ted and an anecdotal case): Bathing with the regular amount of epsom salt mentioned on the package (2cups) plus 1/4 to 1/3 cup of Borax. I dunked my head in the water several times, making sure all body parts covered well. A large container to dump the bath water can help too. Don't just bathe with your head out of the water, dry…the mites can congregate in your ears etc…. Just immerse your whole body including head. Bather for around 15 min to half an hour. I bathed twice a day then weaned down to once, then less. Also, morning and night, I mixed a couple drops of tea tree oil with a few drops of castor oil for a carrier then put a little aloe Vera in the mix to make it less oily. I just put this mixture on my face and neck (all the way around and around my ears to protect my ears (important). I still use this mixture to control my rosacea. Also, it helps to use tea trea shampoo and conditioner. I lived in a slightly humid climate before and now in dry Colorado. I think the dryness helps too. Hope this helps people. It was like a miracle to me and it's very relaxing to boot!
