I have been diagnosed two months back with H-Pylori stomach infection. My Doctor gave me 2 weeks of Prevpac. He said I would get better after that and should get checked up after 3 months. I have finished taking Prevpac and it is more than 1 & 1/2 month now. I am not feeling any better. My stomach is sensitive and cannot digest certain foods. I have lost lot of weight.
I have seen from other posts that taking 1/8 to 1/4 spoon Sodium Bicarbonate in a glass of water 2 -3 times a day will help. My question is will this kill the bacterial infection or do I have to take something else?
Appreciate any suggestions and dieatary recommendations.

I had developed mild ulcers due to H. Pylori 15 years ago. I was given the triple therapy amoxillin, clarithomycin and omezoprezole for 15 days and it worked well. Before that I was trying many natural remedies, but nothing worked. Again after three years I had to take another course of the triple therapy as the H. Pylori does not get completely cured. Now it is under control and I take ACV regularly after meals. I am able to eat all the spicy foods without any problem.
In my opinion it is very important to take the antibiotic triple therapy treatment to cure the ulcers and to kill the h. Pylori bacteria. After that one can control with natural therapy especially ACV.
