Dermatitis remedy help is requested

Posted By Victoria (Toronto, Ontario Canada) on 07/19/2009

Hi , I am suffering from dermatitis that may have been caused by laser burn and then reaction to moisturizer and sunscreen. Im am extremely dry and have tried moisturizers and nothing works. I have attempted the medicated creams but they also look like they are hard to handle. I am totally intolerant of products and the sun as well. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Pyrethem, (lice shampoo), Hand Sanitizer, Medicated Lip Balm, Sulfer, Ivermectin

The Hand Sanitizer helps to control the underlying redness and flaking. The lip balm, helps flaking a lot, too, and you could use it on a child or infant. I think I knocked it out with rotating topical applications of sulfer, ("limed" mixed in mayonnaise, Lice shampoo, leave on skin for 10 min and then rinse) Ivermectin, on skin for 30 min., then rinse). I rotated treatments every day for 4 months.

I still had a little flaking in some areas, but the hand sanitzer works great for that. It's so easy and cheap to use, and invisible. At night I do a small touch of medicated lip balm to any areas that have "itchiness" or flaking. I apply the hand sanitizer morning and then again at night. I had this flaking pustules papules redness rash for two years now. I tried everything my doctor could give me and all the remedies on the Dermatitis, Acne, Roseacea, Eczema sites. My skin has been clear for over a month, but I will still continue the hand sanitizer for maybe another year, because I know personally that this skin condition can come back again and again.

I tried the hand sanitizer a year or two ago, and it did not work for me them, but once I used the Ivermectin, (find on-line or at a "farm" store) and the lice shampoo, the rash was very different. No more pustules and red bumps, just redness and flaking. I think whatever organism I killed also carried a bacteria, which caused the flaking skin and redness. The Hand Sanitizer is keeping the flakes and scales away.

Good Luck Everyone.
