Daughter with takayasu arteris

Hi,

my 11 yr old daughter was diagnosed with Takayasu Arteritis Aug 2009. I was told at that time she would need open heart surgery as it effected her heart. Her valve was regurgitating and aorta is dilated. She is on immuran, ammoxicillin (they think this was caused from high strep antibodies), baby aspirin from the DR.s and omega 3-6-9, calcium, vit D3, Vit C, Vit E, Vit B2-6-12 from me. Her valve is not regurgitatin as bad now and seems to not be a problem, but, her aorta is still dilated at 31 (was 33 in jan)...the cardiologist tells me it should be at 20 and theres a chance of it rupturing if it doesn't shrink. Is there any remedies you know of I can do to get this to shrink back to its original size? I am doing all the home remedies i know of and am very happy with the results so far. The aorta is a concern and will need surgery if it does not go back to its orginal size on its own. Thank you for any help. God Bless!

I am sorry to hear that your daughter has takayasu artheritis We have a daughter that has the same problem and we have tried all kinds of remedies and the inflammation is still there. If you know of anything that we can give to my daughter to help her please let us know. It's been really hard on us since we found out that she had takayasu. Right now she is taking medication from the dr.

Santiago: I recently discovered an herbal extract blend manufactured by Hi-Tech Pharmaceuticals named "Pain-Rx". They market this product as a selective COX2 inhibitor, which means it doesn't block the good COX1. Great reviews on Amazon for folks w/ inflammation and pain problems. Omega 3 fats like Fish Oil and Flax Oil are also very good anti inflammatory. Be sure to add Selenium & Vit-E to protect and maximize the EFA's.
