Constipation After Getting the Flu - Very AbnormalPosted By Lisa (CA) on 10/16/2023
Bowel Blockage or just Constipation?
About a month ago, I had a horrible stomach flu which just consisted on non-stop diarrhea and lower gastric pain (no vomiting). I was sick for about 8 days (practically living in the bathroom during that time). Anyway, before the flu, I had darn near PERFECT bowel movements every morning; since then I have the urge in the morning but what comes out is small (but normal) but it leaves me feeling like I haven't cleaned anything out. I read that a stomach virus can leave you bowels "abnormal" for awhile but now I am getting worried. I don't have severe stomach cramps or a hard stomach or any nausea but I truly want this to go away. I also don't have medical insurance until January. To me, this seems like a hangover from my illness instead of a blockage but I'm not sure. Any advice? Thanks
