Posted By Qmars (Stockholm, Sweden) on 09/17/2012

My name is Qmars and I live in Sweden, I have a close friend that has the chronic angioedema. she takes three different pills for that, cetirizin, Ciclokapron and erius. is there any other way for her to cure this? there has to be. please help me, she is getting worse. The medicine she takes for it wont help her anymore. she is 29 years old, she had this sense she was 16 years old, if she does not take the medicine, it itches, rash, and after that her lips and fingers and other places on her body swells like a balloon. please help me, is there a cure or a doctor or some kind of treatment for this? a surgery maybe? I found your website when I goggled for this, I hope you can help me, her. please let me know if there is a cure for this not only pills.

Best regards, Qmars

@Qmars: I am so sorry to hear about your friend. I am 31 yrs old and have had this since I was 8 and it has been getting worse for me as well. A few things that have started helping me: I changed my diet to avoid any animal products, I consume 1-4 lemons a day by peeling the skin off and juicing them or squeezing them onto my food (lemons are anti-inflammatory), and just yesterday I found that taking the inner leaves of cabbage and placing them on the area that is swollen for at least an hour provides some relief. I hope your friend will recover soon.
