Cipro led to peripheral neuropathy

Posted By Nina (Uxbridge, MA) on 10/19/2014

I was prescribed cipro for a bacterial infection. I wound up with terrible peripheral neuropathy. I've had this for over 3 years. Cipro is a fluoroquinolones or quinolone antibiotic. It is a synthetic chemotherapeutic agent...Of course my dr didn't tell me this or I wouldn't have taken it. In the meantime is there any way to counter the many issues this drug has brought on? Thank you.

The 3 most successful methods is Benfotiamine (Fat Soluble B1)(200-300 mg), Stabilized R-ALA (200mg - 300 mg per day) and Sublingual methylcobalamin Maybe try these all for at least a couple months. Hell, I would try all these at same time for 6 months but they will work in most people within 2 months.
