Chronic UTI Led to E. Coli Colonization and Morganella Morganii

Posted By Linda L (Bellville, Tx) on 08/10/2017

I am 67 years old. I have had UTIs since I was 19. A few years ago I had to have my bladder and colon lifted and surgery on the anal muscle. I contracted E coli in my bladder. They said it was colonized. I do not have any symptoms of a UTI, thank God, but the colonization of the bacteria changes just about every time I go in for a check up. It was E coli, then morganella morgani.

Dear Linda,

Have you tried d-mannose for chronic uti's? Some ladies use this daily to keep infections away. It does work against E. Coli, which is gram negative, and so is the morganella morgani bacteria, so hopefully it would work for that too.

Plantain tea is a mild tea that is also great for bladder infections. It is mild enough for daily use, at least for me.
