Need Help for Chronic and Severe Lower Abdominal Pain

Posted By Eileen (Sumter, Sc) on 10/03/2016

This is probably going to be a long post I have had chronic abdominal pain in my lower ab since April. I have had numerous test. A colonoscopy in July. Ibs diagnosis Then I had diverticulitis in late July and again on late August. I had a colon resection in 2008. Gallbladder removal on 2014. September 22 I had laparoscopy to look for adhesions. Dr removed surgical clips from gallbladder surgery and colon resection. I have no symptoms of interstitial cystitis and have seen a urologist. He gave me myrbetriq to try. Which constipated me. I have issues with that already.

The pain is getting worse with each passing day. I have horrible pain in my pubic area across to both sides down my legs. This is 24 hrs a day with burning sensation. As I type this I feel as if I am on fire. I can't eat anything without it causing more digestive issues. Would be wonderful to at least be pain free for a couple hours a day. I won't take the Tylenol with codeine they always prescribe. Anvil does not help. I use Bengay sometimes on my ab and legs It has gotten worse since the laparoscopy.

I am 68 yrs old have always been very active but my quality of life had greatly dimished since April. My daughter is having first grand in March and I want to be able to enjoy him. Any help will be greatly appreciated

If I understand your note, the pain is within your skin, not your digestive tract. In absence of an actual physical injury I would suspect an allergic-reaction to something in your diet or environment. Allergic-reactions throw off weird symptoms.

What changed in your environment/diet last Spring? Did you switch to a new laundry detergent, etc. Any new chemical-exposure or new prescription drugs in use? From your numerous surgeries you have been likely over-dosed on antibiotics. Get off all 'meds'. Meds can cause all sorts of weird effects beyond those intended.

Also, could be your body telling you that you have a fungus or mold-infection. Antibiotic-use often leads to a fungus-infection. Once infection occurs, fungus and mold love carbs, gluten; and then multiply. Try cutting wheat (gluten) for a few days to check for diminished pain. If it were me I'd be trying the borax-in-water protocol so often mentioned on this website.

Hi Eileen....I can identify with you about the pain. I lifted something pretty heavy and ended up with a horrible lower back pain the day after that almost incapacitated. The pain kept moving to my abdomen and then down to my legs, I tell you it was terrible to the point that I couldn't go to work. Hot water, cold packs, ointments of all kinds, nothing helped until I read that Magnesium help a lot with pain and also omega helps a lot as well. So that's what I did. The result? almost immediately, I felt relief and the pain got better and better as the days go by. Today after about 4 weeks of suffering, I feel almost 100% better. I know your condition is a little different from mine but try it you never know, it might help you at least manage the pain. Let me know the outcome. Take care, and I will keep you in my prayers.

This is deep inside as if my abdominal wall. I am always sore inside especially when I walk or with movement. Today is really painful. Radiates down into my legs. I have tried gluten free, lactose free, etc. Have been tested for everything possible. I improve when I take an antibiotic but after about 3 weeks the symptoms return. Actually this began two years ago June when I contracted c diff after gallbladder surgery. It was mild at that point but now is almost unbearable at times. Also seems to be worse since the laprascopy. For sure it is 24 hrs a day every day. I have always had a high tolerance for pain, so when I am crying my family knows it is bad especially during the nights.Wondering if it could be nerve related or an infection in abdominal wall.

Thanks for your reply. I have taken magnesium for several years. I have magnesium oil I use at night and I also take epsom salts baths. It's difficult to explain the pain. I have tried everything. The chiropractor I go to said she thinks it is from long term inflammation in my colon. Gastro thought it was adhesions. Did not have a lot when I had the laprascopy. I have a difficult time with my digestion and I have tried everything with that too. Other than this I am in good health. Cardiologist said in 2014 I had the heart of a teenager because I was so active walking 3 mile and climbing 500 steps every day before this started. Just almost non- functional this point.

Eileen,

You said that you see short term improvement when you take an antibiotic so there appears to be a bacterial involvement in your condition. I wonder if you have tried colloidal silver also? CS is purported to have synergism with some antibiotics such as this:

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/26970828

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/26832810

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4187931/

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/24623636

Perhaps you can ask your doctor if CS is a possibility for you in conjunction with whatever antibiotic that has been previously prescribed for you that had a positive effect?

Okay, I appreciate the clarification.

What you mention seems comparable to the dull pain encountered with an inguinal hernia. I'll assume you haven't noticed any bulges; or you have been checked by your MD for such.

If I was in your situation I would be game and grasping to try just about anything.

As you say, you could have a nasty infection in your gut. Borax can remedy that infection. There are numerous ways to attack back. For instance, the teaspoon of kerosene approach. Google Walter Last and Kerosene. Believe it or no, in the way it rids the body of various critters and all manner of infections, kerosene can right pretty much whatever is wrong with the digestive tract -- and it is also has a long history of even being curative to tumors.

Limonene and gum spirits of turpentine are two other simple and effective agents that can also work wonders -- check out the reviews for D-Limonene capsules on Amazon.

Eileen, you might try drinking one cup plain kefir in the morning on an empty stomach, as has been suggested here at earth clinic. Home made would be more effective because it has many more bacterial strains than store bought. It is very easy to make. If you do not feel up to that, I suggest you try liquid probiotics. You may have an infection and these beneficial bacteria in the kefir or the liquid probiotics would go to battle for you. All my best wishes for your speedy return to good health. Don't give up!

To further improve on the probiotics, take a spoon of Milled Flax Seed plus Oregano once a day with meal or snack.

Another item is watch for trigger foods like artificial additives. My colon is currently acting up from two meals of rice w/ soy sauce. The list of trigger foods is a long one so read up on that so you can eliminate any or all foods that irritate your Colon. Vit-A or Cod Liver Oil is beneficial for gut health. L-Glutamine is beneficial for gut health.

Hi Eileen,

Not sure if this helps. I had lower pain like yours that sent me to the ER. Thought it was diverticulitis but I wouldn't have a CT scan so they assumed. After searching on EC I came across AMP (Aloe Mucilaginous Polysaccharide) for internal relief. It helped me a lot as I am now on maintenance dose. It is expensive but it's worth it. Hope this helps.

Eileen. I had this pain for years. Blamed all the same things.

Then I read Ted's remedies here on earth clinic re adrenal fatigue. I began taking holy basil 800 to 1000 mg 1 or 2x a day. Amazingly it stopped. The only other relief was my Tommie Copper tank top. I had no idea this was the problem. I was taking it to boost adrenals during a very stressful time. It is worth the 15 dollars to try.

I had been the round of drs. and my chiro also. Janet
