Chronic fatigue syndrome and food intolerances in uk

Posted By Valerie (Shrewsbury, Shropshire) on 08/13/2012

Dear sir /madam, I would be grateful for your opinion regarding a query I have. It has taken doctors in the uk 17 years to tell me I have m.e, and that I can expect to have it for the rest of my life (I am 47). I am a single mother to an unemployed 23 year old, with no other family or friends, so the strain is considerable. I have a host of very debilitating symptoms and wondered whether it could ever be the case that people diagnosed with c.f.s./m.e, do in fact have hidden food intolerances, I have tested mainly negative for food allergies. In a way I find it hard to believe that intolerances could cause such crippling and incapacitating symptoms as I am experiencing, but feel its definately not something to be overlooked, kind regards, valerie

Valerie, food allergies is just 1 layer, it will cause extra pain, fatigue, inflammation. But as you said its not likely to cause all the crippling symptoms. But have you had your adrenals, thyroid, liver tested, done a hair analysis. Might help.

Valirie, I was going through same thing since last six months. I spenr so much money but doctor did not figure it out. I learned then by self that I am having problems wih gluten food even thought all the test came out ok. I was feeling extremely tired, pain in muscle after eating wheat products and chronic contipation. This is what its helping me now. I am taking wheatgrass power every morning with one spoon of virgin coconut oil. Apple cider vinegar really helps so taking little ACV and baking soda with that too. Not eating wheat everyday but sometimes I do. If you go on gluten free food you can see big difference. I feel like alive again. No more back pain or tiredness. I also eat little portion now a days. Hope this helps you and god bless you.
