Chronic dry cough after detox program

Posted By Oliveo (Toronto, Canada) on 06/23/2011

Hello everyone. I started a detox program two months ago and since then I have had a persistent dry cough that is driving me and everyone around me nuts. It has gone away a couple times only to return again full force. My naturopath said it was due to detox, but nothing is coming up. It's a dry cough. I got a chest X-ray and my lungs checked and they are normal and clear. I don't want this to go on indefinitely. I take ACV every day and it's not helping. Any other ideas on how I can stop it? Thank you.

Would you be willing to try acupuncture or Chinese herbs? That helped me. According to Traditional Chinese medicine, that can be an indication that the chi is too weak for the cough to be productive, meaning, it's trying to do its work which is why it's persistent but the power of the body is too weak for it to produce the effects. Hope this helps.
