I used to have a Chinese treatment for a boil in the form of a black gooie in a jar. Then I cut the hole in the middle of the small clean cloth circle (fit the size of the boil) to allow the head to form. I spread the black gooie on the circle then hold it over a candle for a few seconds to warm it up then apply right away on the top of the boil leave the center open. Within a few minutes, I could feel the gooie thing suck up the pus and make it form hard. I tried not to touch it for a few hours if in a hurry or leave til next day. I got the whole hardened core out as big as the tip of my pinky in one scoop of gently pinching around the boil. The core was gone and did not come back again ever.

I can not find the gooie thing in US or with Chinese herb store. Can anyone help me figure out what it is and where to buy it, please?
