Cellulitis on Leg Formed Bubbles Overnight

Posted By Marjay (Toronto, On) on 06/16/2016

I'm actually need a question answered soon, if anyone can help. Was in Emergency for hours a couple of nites ago and was diagnosed with cellulitis. Given antibiotics, of course. It is now 3 days later and I'm worried because my leg is very swollen and hard - also this morning woke with bubbles. spoke to a nurse who advised me to go back to hospital. Really don't relish the thought and am wondering if the bubble is just nature's was of protecting something and will clear up on its own? I've read all the advice on this site and have started some immediately. Can anyone advise me so I don't have to sit in Emergency for hours and probably be given another medication? Thank you

Many years ago my mother developed cellulitis and had lesions that looked like strep or staph. She wound up in nursing home.

Shortly after that I developed sores. My shins turned purple. Went to Dr.He prescribed med for staph. It went away, but came back. Renewed prescription. Again, it went away but came back. Doc wouldn't refill presc.

Call it intuition. but decided to try yarrow tea. Drank about 3 cups a day and it went away - and never came back.

Have a friend that had drop foot and had sores in leg. Drs wouldn't treat it. I gave her yarrow for tea and her sores went away.

I used to work as a wound care nurse and the blisters are the excess fluid trying to come out usually. You have to pay attention to other symptoms usually like redness, swelling, color, smell and also to make sure that there is still a good pulse in your foot for blood supply. If you have just been on antibiotics there probably isn't an infection.
