Seeking Cause and Holistic Treatment for 13 Year Melasma

Posted By Cristal (Nc) on 06/06/2018

Please help me! I need a cure for my Melasma. I have had this condition for too long and despite religiously wearing zinc sunblock daily all these years, It still doesn't ever go away! I have tried all the typical brightening products, along with hydroquinone, lasers, peels, etc but to no avail. I want a more natural remedy to fade these awful splotches!

I'm fair skinned that can tan easily. I'm Irish/Cherokee Indian. These dark splotches make my face look dirty and it's hard to cover up. I'm sick of caking on the foundation, staying out of the sun too much so, and still have this condition. According to conventional doc's mine would be considered idiopathic b/c it's not from too much sun, or lack of SPF, nor bcp pills-b/c I have rarely took them in my life. So what is the cause and the cure? I've had a blood test that showed relatively normal levels in their opinion anyway. It is underlying hormones, thyroid, adrenal problems despite no abnormal labs or yeast/fungus- as I have issues with this for sure. I need to fade the spots are cure the problem! Unrelated or not, the sclera of my eyes aren't bright either.. and my blue eyes are fading to gray. I have suffered with this for too long! I'd love to be in a research study on this! I also found this interesting article suggesting sun exposure is NOT the culprit. jackkruse.com/hashimotos-and-melasma/

I wish Ted could help answer this... and I wish more people knew these answers & cures and true causation.

Please help me cure myself!

If your sunscreen is not working quit using it. Peroxide fades skin color. I clean my black cat's ear with it and that ear is no longer black inside. The only places I have "sun spots" are the places I had used deet insect spray. Eucalyptus and rosemary essential oils work just as well as the deet did to keep mosquitoes away. I am using peroxide and isopropyl alcohol to wash my face daily. Hopefully, it will fade to spots. I wash with soap, rinse, rub the alcohol over my face, and then rub the peroxide over my face. My skin has improved and it seems to be working. I once faded away a dark spot on the back of my hand in two days. I have yet to figure out exactly what I did as I was trying different methods.

Have you tried frankincense? It has the ability to balance skin color. Apply neat every morning and night.
