Posted By Kay (Jax, Fl/usa) on 10/16/2012

I keep getting a callus on the bottom of my foot, I have tried everything and have been to the foot doc twice who scrapes it off and than it comes back. I have tried creams, vitamin e oil, etc. A quick fix would be buy all new shoes, but that isn't going to happen. Any suggestions

Check the link out below and see if your callouses match. If they do you may have morton's toe which would explain why they keep coming back. Morton's toe is easy to treat with quarter shaped round pads placed in your shoes. This worked for me. Took awhile to adjust the pads to just the right position and get use to. Most drug stores sale the sticky foot pads you cut to size.

This is a message of eternal grattitude to Pr from Houston. Your post with the link to the diagram with the callouses, changed my life. Really. I do not want to diminish the reality of it by sounding too dramatic but a sincere thanks to you for taking the time to post here. Small things really do make a difference sometimes. I check EC if I have questions about anything and always find some useful info but this time it was exactly what I needed. I checked here just to see if there was a natural remedy for callouses. Quite frankly I assumed there would be a couple posts from folks saying to use ACV or eliminating Sodium Laurel Sulfate would make them wither away or something like that :-). Your link lead me to a picture of my callouses and then subsequently to the treatment for relief of pains that I had no idea were related to my seemingly unimportant callouses. So, I just had to say thanks for posting. Just as a side note to anyone else who may find help from your link, in addition to the book you recommend there is another book folks should get ahold of called Why You Really Hurt: It all starts in the feet by Burton Schuler. He recommends Trigger Point Therapy in addition to several other easy do-it-yourself pain relief methods. I would not have found it though if it weren't for your post, Pr from Huston, and this great site. Blessings to you and everyone who posts here.

I was so happy to read of the help you received from my post. I have been helped many times from reading others posting on EC. I believe in giving back. The toe pads are amazing and who would of thought it. I did get the other book you recommended and they do comment each other. I have used the Trigger Point Therapy Workbook so many times for pain all over my body. I have gotten where I go there first before I do anything else. 80% of time I get relieve from the trigger points Clair Davies recommends in his book.
