Standing on your toes and walking just on your toes gives instant pain relief. Spread the toes and put weight on the big toe area as you walk and feel the big toe moving in the opposite direction of the bunion. Stretching your big toe in the opposite direction of the bunion also gives relief. I heard of this some time ago and have a rather large bunion. Doing this daily keeps pain to minimum.Replied by Dr Phoenix (Windham Ohio) on 10/10/2013
Too much acid foods add to the issue if not a large portion of the formation of it. The bunion is on the side of the foot where the spleen channel flows from the inner edge of the hallux (big toe) sugar, alot of protein, coffee, nicotine, alcohol, refined foods, grief, anger, resentment also add to the problem. It is a result of long term imbalances, wrong food, over-consumption, combined with the emotions ate a biggy. Good luck
