Posted By Biggi (Miami, Florida) on 05/28/2012

Is there any natural help or remedies for a brain aneurysm recovery. My mother 77 years old was in rehab for 3 month and has home health care now but just slowly recovers. Cant use left side of body like arm, hand, fingers and leg. Only able to stand on feet with help. Its been 9 month now. Anything for brain function help to coordinate movements etc?

Thank you

I have seen some recent stories of people with MS and some other neurological problems making gains with Magnesium-L-Threonate, a form of magnesium that crosses the blood brain barrier. Maybe this could be helpful for your Mother but I would check with her doctor first to make sure there are no drug interactions first. Best wishes.

Hi Biggi - You may want to look into CoQ10 (ubiquinol form) for your Mom. Do a search for "ubiquinol brain health" and read about how effective it is. Astaxanthin is another good one to have - it's a powerful antioxidant. Make sure your Mom does not have any fluoride in her water, toothpaste, etc. And keep her well hydrated with quality water. I would even try coconut oil - start small - maybe a teaspoon a day and work up to 2 (or more) tablespoons. Take with food to avoid stomach upset. Do an Internet search for "coconut oil brain health" for more information. It may even give your Mom more energy - but make sure you start with a small dose and work your way up gradually. Best of luck to you and your Mom. Take care, Bess

I recommend biofeedback with someone that does indigo or scio biofeedback --they have numerous training programs useful for brain injuries and is FDA approved for many things so check it out if you can not find info I can send you info, I myself have the system but also a couple of brain injuries and also use cold laser and far infra red and I am doing well, I work on people with strokes, cancer, etc and have had great success.
