Bird Mites Vs. Demodectic Mites

What do demodex mites feel like? What do bird mites feel like? How is it possible to tell if you one type of infestation or another? My scalp and face is extremely itchy, and my scalp is red and inflamed. When I leave my shoulder-length hair down, I feel bite and stings on my neck that leave marks. When I run a few strands of hair through my fingers, there is always a residue of something that feels like sand, and often it is a tiny black or brown speck. I also feel this sandy material on my face, in particular the bridge of my nose and on my chin. I have the same sandy particles coming from my nose. Sometimes the residue is white, sometimes black/brown. I also find this sandy residue around my eye lashes. Can you actually feel the demodex mite or would this have to be another kind of mite? I have had swab test done in my nostils and scalp that did not show any parasites. But I have no idea what this sandy like material is on my face, hair, eyes and in my nostrils. I also have the crawly itchy sensation on my face, scalp and skin, worse at night and especially in front of the computer, though I don't feel the crawling while I am sleeping, or at least it doesn't keep me awake. Thanks for your assistance.

That's weird. I just noticed this too (the last couple of days). I noticed it gets worse in front of the computer too. I am going to try P___ cold cream on my face and Listerine in my ears with tissue stuff in them and see if I can't smother some of them that way. Tonight, I did see a couple of white specks around my lashes and my hair. OMG.

I weirdly had a problem with bird mites. There is only one way to get them off you it is to use a shampoo with a coal tar, they will be completely washed off. Detrematious earth works well for keeping them at bay, I bought alot of stuff from a gentlemen that gets his pesticides from Africa as well. The best way to beat them is time. If you can treat your house and leave for awhile they will die in a few weeks.
