Bill's Candida Protocol and Amalgam Fillings

Posted By Brightday (North Carolina) on 09/21/2015

Bill, I'm a 65-year-old woman who's been living with fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue since my last surgery to remove cervical cancer via radical hysterectomy nearly 20 years ago. All efforts to control candida over the years have ultimately failed, though in the past two, I've moved to eating organically and supplementing with herbs, minerals, tinctures and infusions. As a result, I'm much healthier in general. Infections are pretty much conquered; but a nasty case of scalp psoriasis and chronic fatigue remain. I just discovered this site last week and was delighted to read of your success.

The thought that I could soon be psoriasis free was the best news ever! Although my retirement income is strained, I went ahead and purchased everything needed to begin the anti-Candida protocol, (iodine, turpentine, kelp, supplements, etc.) and was just ready to begin today when someone threw up a red flag, warning that I must first deal with my amalgam fillings - removal/chelation, etc. I'm frankly not sure that I have any amalgams left and certainly don't have the money needed to go through that process now anyway, but she said that, if I didn't, the turpentine could send more mercury to my brain, resulting in headaches (not a current or historical symptom for me) and neurological changes.

So ... the question is: Did you or anyone you know who left amalgam fillings in place experience the aforementioned issues with the turpentine cure? Thanks in advance for your response - and the response of any others who wish to chime in. In the meantime, I'm beginning the LI protocol with supplements. Yea!

Follow-up: I believe I just found the answer to my question, as I have in my notes that you wrote the following somewhere in this forum:

"Concerning candida and detox I would take something like Vitamin C, Sodium Thiosulfate or EDTA for detoxing the blood and organs but I would also make sure to take chlorella for purely intestinal detox. Dr William Kelly verified in his writings that chlorella contains large molecules called alginates. These large molecules, after they bind to heavy metals in the gut, cannot be absorbed or redistributed into the blood from the colon because alginate is such a huge molecule -- that's why alginates can only remove heavy metals in the gut. With the other forms -- Vitamin C, Sodium Thiosulfate etc that act in the blood -- their will always be some redistribution of heavy metals in the body. So that's one very good reason to use chlorella for gut detox -- especially when you have candida because candida biofilms in the gut contain such high amounts of heavy metals. So when you destroy alot of candida biofilms using turpentine then you must take the chlorella 1/2 hr to 1 hr after the turps to mop up and neutralize all the heavy metals released from biofilm destruction. if you don't mop up these heavy metals in the gut promptly and appropriately then they will just get absorbed into the blood via the colon to cause all manner of physical, mental and other symptoms and problems."

I've already purchased Klamath (blue-green algae), which should do the trick. If not, please advise. Thanks so much!

B: Good and thorough advise as Candida is not a simple problem.

If I might add, particularly in extreme or severe cases, I would advise saving the precious Chlorella for healing and use a bulk powder Sodium Alginate (which requires capsulation). One capsule of S.A. would contain many times the amount found in a cap of Chlorella. One can purchase S.A. on Amazon.com

Hi Brightday...Timh is quite right about chlorella and alginates. Alginates are huge molecules that cannot be absorbed from the intestines into the blood. I learned this from my readings of William Kelly's protocol for cancer and Dr Klinghardt's protocols for lyme/candida. So when alginates bind to the heavy metals in the intestines then there is only one route out and that is with your stools. So HM redistribution in the body cannot occur with chlorella and alginates. Therefore chlorella should be safe enough for you to take even if you do have mercury amalgams and this will help you to clear most of the heavy metals and biofilms from your intestines. The intestines is probably the largest reservoir of heavy metals in your body, although these heavy metals can also affect other tissues, such as skin, glands and can also accumulate in the brain as well.

For removal of heavy metals from the rest of the body and if your worried about mercury amalgams -- I would perhaps use Andy Cutler's protocol(Google him). This uses low doses of HM chelators to begin with for long periods to help remove HM and help reduce redistribution. Another good thing for you to do would perhaps be to get get a hair analysis -- this will tell you your current HM status in your cells and will also tell you what vitamins and minerals your body is lacking from your diet. This will help you to fine tune your protocol more to your own individual needs.

Your problem with mercury amalgams seems to hang on your own knowledge of whether you actually have any mercury amalgams in your teeth or not. You seem very unsure about this. I would therefore also find out for sure and perhaps plan to get these amalgams removed and replaced by a proper biological dentist sometime in the future when you can afford it. My own favourites for HM detox are chlorella(intestines), cilantro liquid extract, sodium thiosulfate and vitamin c.
