Best supplements to boost immune system

Hi everybody,

I hope you all can help me come up with a plan of supplements/remedies to keep my 12 and 14 yr old girls healthy this school year. I kept my freshman home today, as she woke with a severe sore throat. I had her do ACV/honey/cayenne tea and cayenne gargling all day. It seemed to help, but I'd like to help them avoid getting sick.

They are both athletes and go to public school. Until the end of October they are both putting in 12 hour days at school between all of their activities, so I think they are getting worn down and so are all their peers! So I need the easiest/best, most minimal way to support their immune systems. (The whole family thinks I'm a little loopy for everything I do to feel great! Lol)

Hi Freebirdschick - I have found grapefruit seed complex to be very beneficial as an inti-viral/anti-bacterial/anti-fungal substance..... Check it out!

As soon as my daughter sneezes I have her gargle three times with warm salty water, a touch of baking soda and 4 drops of hydrogen peroxide (no swallowing). Then I will give her thin garlic slices, 3 x a day which she chews to get the juice. Lastly, I boil an inch and a half of ginger root, sliced thinly in about 4 cups of water. When that has simmered for about 10 mins, covered, I put in a chamomile teabag and let that steep. She drinks this all day. If she is really bad, I add lemon juice and honey to taste. I have also made a natural antibiotic - soak a crushed garlic clove in 1/4 to 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar. Steep in a glass container in a dark cupboard for about two to three days. Longer better. Give 1/4 teaspoon every 4 hours. Yucky but works. This is all approximate - use your intuition.

Sweat...work out consistently even if you feel what your doing is minimal!!!

Eat a wide variety of fruits and vegetables.. Switch them out.. When your body tells you it wants something else to eat!!!

In today's world it's important for children to be involved in social activities including but not limited to sports, performing arts etc etc!!!

Make sure to clear it with your Dr. first!!! If taking medications talk to your Dr. first!!!
