Autistic Child Non-Responsive to Treatment

Posted By SAK (North) on 04/06/2023

Hello,

I have an autistic boy, we tried with him most of the available treatment protocols but had no positive gains. It seems that this boy is resisting treatments or there is something within his body blocking medicines/supplements from working. Any guidance, advice or recommendations are highly appreciated.

Explore NAET. According to NAET theory, autism is a nutritional deficiency disorder causing biological, neurological and developmental problems in children. The nutritional deficiency is caused by poor digestion, absorption, assimilation and utilization of essential nutrients due to allergies.

SAK,

Recent studies are suggesting that the gut microbiome is a major player in the disease process of Autism. These same studies are also suggesting that specific types of probiotics may be of value to improve digestive issues as well as quality of life. The research is in its infancy, but studies are revealing more almost daily. It seems like it would be worth discussing with your son's doctor. You might also ask him about fecal microbiome transplantation (FMT) for your son. This is a process where they take a stool transplant from a known and tested healthy individual and deliver it via colonoscopy into your son in order to improve his gut microbiome and improve symptoms.

On that note, here is a link to an article that discusses this issue specifically and suggests two potential probiotics as potentially beneficial for autism :

If you search Google specifically for the "gut microbiome and autism spectrum disorders" or similar searches, you will quickly start to get a better understanding of how the bacteria in the gut can affects ASD.

Good luck to you and your son!

SAK,

The following link is a fairly comprehensive review of previous studies that is very informative and easy to read that goes into significant detail on the gut microbiome in ASD and how probiotics might be useful :

I have heard parasite cleanses can make a big difference. Mimosa pudica seed and Hulda Clark's parasite cleanse are excellent. Bioray is a company that people use for supporting health after parasite cleanses and they specifically have formulas to help autistic children.
