Are my painful bladder symptoms bv

Hello, I am in dire need of some advice. I am a 24-year old female who is not sexually active. I have never had bladder problems or any type of vaginal infection. A month ago, I felt a weird sensation toward the end of urinating. Thinking it was UTI, I went to the Dr, but results from dipstick test + culture came back negative. A week later, I started feeling this constant urge to urinate (even after I emptied my bladder, it still felt full). I went into Urgent Care for a full pelvic, and I tested positive for clue cells. I was put on flagyl (metronidazole) for 7 days. The flagyl took away ALL symptoms, including urinary urgency and frequency after 3 days. A week after I completely finished my antibiotic course, I started experiencing itching on my vulva, and the urinary frequency returned. I went into the Dr. again and was prescribed medication for a yeast infection. This took away the itching, but the frequency remained. Went back to the Dr. a third time for another pelvic and they found clue cells in my wet prep again. I was put back on flagyl (I assumed it would take away the frequency, as it completely cleared that symptom last time).

Unfortunately, my frequency symptoms have only gotten worse. I seem to have no other BV symptoms (e.g. strong odor or discharge) - only the frequency. I went to the gynecologist yesterday for a urine sample, and my urine came back clean (she did not, however, do another wet prep to see if the clue cells were still present because I had my period). The gynecologist recommended that I see a urologist, and I have an appointment for next week. In the mean time, I have tried OTC AZO pain relief medication, which doesn't seem to be helping. This is my second day of taking 1200mcg of folic acid daily plus a multivitamin. I am also taking UltimateFlora probiotic. Has anyone experienced these bladder problems associated with their BV?

I am wondering if the flagyl didn't cure the BV and the bacteria is still lingering in my system and causing this urinary frequency? Or maybe my bladder is irritated and inflamed from all of the antibiotics and bacteria? I have been reading stories of Interstitial Cystitis, but I do not think I have this problem, as I am not experiencing any pelvic pain, nor have I ever experienced any symptoms remotely close to what I am now (all bladder symptoms started after BV). Any help would be much appreciated! I am uncomfortable 24-7 and am worried the Doctors are not going to figure this out!

Mgs: The first remedy for UTI is Cranbery Juice (unsweetened or softgel extract) fallowed 1-2 hrs latter w/ Dr Christopher's herbal "Kidney/Bladder" formula. If this helps substantially, then good, but if the infection returns, then move on to the other possible diseases you mentioned.

Do you have pets or around animals? What is your occupation? Try and find what or where you are getting infected.
