Any natural cures or help for ms

Posted By Dee (Springfield, Ma) on 03/07/2014

Hi Earth Clinic; though it's been awhile, still no vag. itching, thanks to nixing breads, and for now using essiac tea for overall health. I have a question for a new friend I met at natural food store. Her mother has multiple sclerosis and I told her about earth clinic, but said I would search also. I found nothing so wondered if it goes by a different name or if someone who is successfully finding treatments that work could email me or post. This is still the best "natural cures" site and I try to spread the word whenever I can. A quick thank you again to "mama to many" because the charcoal capsules also did the trick down below; but mainly for me, had to radically change diet again getting rid of breads and watching out for any kind of fungus growing on fruits and veggies. God Bless you all for your help. Dee

Hello Dee from Springfield,

I just posted the suggestion to help MS sufferers. I have personal experience on seeing the positive effect of Calcium AEP. I use six to eight tablets if condition is bad or upon "flair ups"....and drink four tablespoons of Colloidal Silver daily for six months to kill the presumed virus which may be a trigger to MS. Oh by the way, there is also believed to be part of the MS, a heavy metal issue, usually mercury build up. Chelation for that and getting rid of mercury in teeth put there in amalgams.

www.ldninfo.org: Stops progression on MS in about 85% of people. Low dose naltrexone is taken by mouth, is FDA approved at 50 mg/day, but is used at a low dose for MS and other autoimmune diseases at 3-4.5 mg/day. No side effects except possible sleep distrubance for a week or so. Very low cost at about $40/month. Modulates the immune system. The Yahoo LDN Group that is mentioned on this site (above) has over 11,000 members who use LDN, about half for MS, and are very willing to answer any questions you may have for a variety of autoimmune diseases. There is very little to lose and much that may be gained from looking into LDN.

Additionally, I have met one woman and heard of several others who have no MS symptoms after using Lion's Mane mushroom powder every day, along with a few vitamins. It is also low cost and may be worth a try. Best wishes!

There are two types of MS. The minor form and the severe form. The severe form will destroy one's life. The former doesn't.

The epsilon toxin antibodoes are generally only found in people with MS.

"A team led by Jennifer Linden, PhD, presented research at last week's American Society for Microbiology's Biodefense and Emerging Diseases Research Meeting showing that epsilon toxin, which is produced by certain strains of the bacteria Clostridium perfringens, can kill myelin-producing cells."

http://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/820224

The major problem is that there is no official test to make the determination. Because of that, someone who claims they are cure of MS, may not have MS at all but something else. This is the situation with ME/CFIDS/CFS. I would use a test for the epsilon antibodies for the official diagnosis because that has been shown in 100% of the strictly diagnosed MS cases and no other disease groups. When someone claims a cure, it would be good to know if they had a test to determine the epsilon toxin antibodies.

The interesting thing is that they will push the idea that the bacteria comes from the soil. MS is virtually non-existent among the Amish and they are closer to the soil than the general population. The bacteria is used in biological warfare. Because MS is connected to vaccination, there is a lot of disinformation on the internet about the cause of MS. This is also why so called MS patient organization are not much help. Your average MS patient really doesn't want to hear that due to stockholm syndrome.

When I don't have a cure for something, I try to understand how the disease attacks various parts of the bodies system. One prominent feature of the disease is the attack of the myelin.

Neuropathy is caused by disappearance of the myelin sheath arounf their nerves. B1 (benfotiamine), B12 (methylcobalmin) and Stabilized R-ALA may help regrow the myelin sheath. Maybe it will be useful for MS.

I scooped this stuff from a yahoo answer

1.GLA
2.EPA/DHA – fish oils. Especially DHA

Phospholipids in myelin sheath
1.Phosphatidyl serine
2.Phosphatidyl choline
3.Phosphatidyl inositol
4.Sphingomyelin – present in the myelin sheat

Specialty Products

Sphingolin by Ecological Formulas Sphingolin

Myelin-MS by AOR

CDP-Citicholine by AOR

I can't give an opinion on the above specialty products or know if they work but they can provide gateways into other information when googling the internet. The idea is to give some leads. There is always good discussion around such products.

I forgot about the low dose Naltrexone. It was one of the few drugs that I experimented with for CFS about a year at full dose a long time ago. I didn't experience any major side effects. I did research further and found there are some long term negative side effects associated with drug at full dose but I think the low dose Naltrexone should be fine to experiment and use for MS.

Hello! Have you ever heard about using gum spirits or Turpentine for inflammation? It has worked wonders for me. Let me know what you think.
