Natural Remedies for Amoeba Parasite in 11 Year Old Boy

Posted By Victoria (California) on 05/11/2017

Hi Earth Clinic and specifically Ted. Could I get your opinion Ted. My 11 year old son has been having a lot of stomach issues (pain). The doctor took blood and stool samples. Just found out that he has Amoeba Parasites in his stomach. We moved to the USA from Morocco, where he grew up, 10 months ago and the last 3 months has been chronic stomach pain - on and off. He will be put on some medication for 10 days that will give him horrible taste in the mouth, nausea and possibly dizziness. I was wondering if you have any information or experience with this parasite in kids. I am thinking of putting him on a cleanse but need to find out if I really have to give him the medication. Any experience with this?
EC: Hi Victoria. Unfortunately, Ted had a stroke in June of 2015 and is unable to correspond at this time. Hopefully our other amazing contributors can offer helpful suggestions.

I would try the Rx first, and it would help if you gave us the name. To help reduce side effects of Rx you will need to do buffering remedies oral, and Footbaths of Epsom Salts & Borax. Also take one spoon of Milled Flaxseed to clean the Colon.

If the Rx meds cannot be tolerated check back here and we can do aggressive natural cleanses.

Hi Timh, thank you for the reply! What is Rx? My son was prescribed Flagyl Antibiotic and I was told by the doctor that there is nothing else that would kill the amoeba parasite. The good thing is that stomach pain seems to have gone away, however, He is on day 5 and feeling very dizzy and and nauseated at times. He could not even go to school today. Super dizzy. The doctor said we have to continue the medication...You said one spoon of milled flax seed to clean the column - is that one time only? How much for adult? I would like to do it as well. 1 spoon is okay for 11 yr old boy right? What else can I do to help him recover faster. Can you recommend anything for dizziness and nausea, due to antibiotics?

Blessings! Thank you for your help!

Victoria

Rx is abbreviation for Prescription Meds. Flagyl is rather rough on the gut so again you need to do alkalizing remedies as I have already mentioned. The Milled Flaxseed @ one spoon per day with meal should insure proper bowel movements. Yes, Milled Flax is taken as food for adults & children. Sprinkle MFS on breakfast cereal or any foods.

Read the precautions and interactions info for the Flagyl. If ulceration of intestines is common that may explain the dizziness. Research the drug Nitazoxanide for this condition if the Metronadizole cannot be tolerated. Nitazoxanide is a much broader spectrum antibiotic/antiprotizoa med without the extreme bitterness of Flagyl. Maybe need to decrease mg of Flagyl to a tolerable level. Call your nurse or pharmacist about side effects and the possibility reducing mg or trying the Nitaz.

The major mineral Magnesium is also indicated to reduce drug toxicity and ease digestion. Footbaths of Epsom Salts is a great source of Magnesium as well as Sulfur so add one big spoon to warm water to soak the feet about 20 min per day. Magnesium Chloride Oil applied topically is a big favorite for increasing this mineral.

OTC Vegetable Juice or homemade organic will help as there is little digestion taking place and will supply much needed nutrition to your child. I drink about one cup daily of commercial grade VJ but he would need to drink 2 or 3 big glasses per day. I Also add powdered Garlic, Cayenne, and Ginger to boost the natural antibiotic power. Other spices to add to VJ is Fennel and Oregano. The VJ will also deliver much needed Sodium & Potassium. Sea Salt is way better than regular processed table salt and is itself antibiotic. You can mix Sea Salt & Baking Soda 50/50 and mix with water to drink before meals to buffer excess acids and ease the stomach.

I assume you purify or purchase bottled or purified water for daily use, yes???

These recommends should greatly help and looking forward to response.
