Maybe the earring back is not of a good metal?Replied by Sp (Wb, Nj) on 07/12/2014
Hi Suseeq, you could try neosporin or another product like that. I have a little tube that I use just for my earrings. I dip the post in, then put the post in my ear. That keeps me from getting red & itchy and helps the earring glide in easier.Replied by Kt (Usa) on 07/12/2014
You could also try painting the posts or wires with clear fingernail polish then, when dry, dip the posts or wires and fingers in alcohol before putting them in.Replied by Henrietta (Houston) on 09/15/2014
Apple cider vinegar cured every bad issue I ever had with my problem pierced ears. Sore, red, itchy, sometimes weepy, crusty and a big sore knotts in the holes were common. Gold or hypoallergenic backs and posts helped a little but not totally. This lasted 25 years. Then one day I rubbed them front and back with several drops of ACV, It stung a little but felt so good and was so much better the next morning. I did this twice a day until I knew they were healed. Now I only do it occasionally. Everyone I have told this to says they didnt have to go to the doctor when theirs got really bad.
