Alternatives needed to prolapse surgery

Is there anything other than surgery for prolapse? Am doing Kegel exercises, but is there anything that will thicken the tissue and strengthen it?

Two things I have heard of to help vaginal or bladder prolaspe. One is called the Kegelmaster. It is mechanical device you buy and use daily and follow the instructions to strengthen the muscles. Also there are vaginal weights that you can buy that are suppose to help, They start at a certain size and go up as your muscles get stronger.

It's a bit difficult to recommend a garment that works amazing without mentioning a name. So, this garment is a feminine support garment and you can do a search on Google. It's a garment made and manufactured in the USA and on the market for about 12 years. Their website is all pink, so you will know if you found the correct site.

It's an amazing product that lifts the prolapse with external pressure and is quite comfortable.

Good luck! Lolly

Those garments look like they would hold you up all right but THE COST is the same as a pessary. If your body is not holding your bladder up, you are losing those muscles that would hold it.

It is better to address the underlying issues of vitamin and mineral deficiencies that are causing hormone imbalances and causing your muscles let go of the bladder.

After correcting vitamin and mineral issues, try using bio identical progesterone creams or as some women here are using the dhea tabs intravaginally.

Muscles need minerals , like magnesium to make them relax , and calcium makes them contract. Collagen makes the tissues elastic and you need certain minerals and vitamins and proteins and omegas for collagen production.

You will want it for your face too. I encourage you if you are young to address the deeper issues behind the prolapse.

You can do kegals, like I did, in the hundreds a day but it won't help if your muscles don't have what they need to recover.

Hi--Please read the posts here under Ailments for prolapsed bladder. Deidre is correct but I only have the problem when I ingest sources of MSG... Gelatin capsules put me over the limit of what my body can tolerate. There are approximately 13. 7mg of MSG in each one. MSG is a nerve stimulant that can stimulate some nerve cells to death. I believe this includes the ligaments that hold organs in their place. Stool softeners are being required more now due to what is happening to our food, making it harder to digest, that can contribute to constipation. I have learned that using a super plus tampon pushes the prolapse back where it is supposed to be, long enough for the bowel to keep moving. Please be aware that the binders and fillers in supplements are also hidden sources of MSG. Even the "active ingredient" of the supplements and medications could be coming from genetically modified plants. Hidden sources of MSG are the cause of many ailments that can be avoided just by eliminating them instead of possibly doing more damage looking for things to "cure" what could have contributed to the real problem to begin with. I hope I have not caused you confusion. There has been an erosion going on that will not be fixed overnight. All of our food is tainted and constantly changing. My PCP remarked how medicine keeps changing every four to five years.

Prolapse bladder:

Hi I have been using vit c as a stool softener for years. just keep increasing your dose until you get the desired effect. As far as I am aware there are no negative side effects and vit c helps to maintain collagen in the skin. Also there are no stomach cramps. I use 5000 mg a day. it's cheap and available and you can get the same effect from fruit if you don't like taking pills.

Thanks Miranda--I already started to increase my vit. C in addition to magnesium. I use the mag powder in OJ with breakfast and I'll sometimes add a mag tablet with another C tab if I feel like I'm getting "bound up" again...that's when I start to feel some prolapse. The tampons help a lot.

How do you take the 5000 mg.? All at once or throughout the day?
