Advice needed on possible heel spur issue

Posted By Derbychick77 (Mayfield, Ky, Usa) on 07/22/2011

About a week ago I was playing softball and as I was running something popped in the arch of my foot and stopped me from continuing. It was more painful than the ligament I tore in my knee earlier in the year. I can't seem to bear any weight on my heel. It feels like a deep bruise. I was diagnosed with heel spurs several years ago but haven't had any issues with them in the past 5 years. Since the injury last week I have tried epsom salts, baking soda, ACV soaks and making a paste of turmeric and castor oil and sleeping in it. None of which seems to have helped. Both feet are now swelling from the ankle down and I can feel them tingle as they swell. Ever since they told me I had heel spurs my feet and ankles swell especially when I'm up on them for a long time. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have been using a Calcuim formula for a heel spur which I have had in my left foot. I take 2 capsules a day usually in the morning & have been taking them for around 3months with success. I also have flat feet & in summer I find it very difficult to wear my orthotics but when I have the appropriate footware I really find this takes the pressure off as well. Give calcuim a go it's not overnight but it really helps.
