Dear Sue,
So sorry about the abscess, and in such a dreadful place!
I would look at the MRSA page, because there are many many remedies there for drawing out infection with poultices and external applications as well as internal remedies to fight infection.
Turmeric is a must, and so is keeping sugar to a minimum while you heal. Milk kefir would also be a great thing to take internally.

Sue, you must be in a lot of pain! I had an abscess 'there' years ago. The pain was indescribable. Not just pain but relentless burning. It felt like someone was holding a blowtorch to the area. I birthed 3 children and never experienced that level of pain!
I am a huge believer in natural medicine, but having tried many methods of relief, the pain continued to worsen to the point where I couldn't take it for another second. I ended up at the doctor, who scheduled me for surgery the very next day.
I don't regret it. I felt so much better after the surgery. Of course, there was pain, but the pain was nowhere near as bad as the abscess...not even close. It was very manageable.
I hope you're feeling better soon.
P.S. My procedure was over 10 yrs. ago. Prior to the surgery, I was quite hemorrhoid-prone. I haven't had even ONE hemorrhoid since that surgery. What a bonus!

I know what God told me to use for a dental abcess that climbed up to between my eyes one day.... baking soda 1/2 tsp in some water and swish and spit throughout the day... it travelled down to my nose then to my tooth, (he he ...) mount vesvius )and popped and I continue to use it and it is draining quite nicely . Praise the Lord...and No pain. At night I used a guaze square pc. folded up with some activated charcoal and baking soda to keep it from entering my gut while it drained.
