Questions About Low Estrogen and Fibrocystic Breasts

Posted By Sivitri (California) on 10/16/2015

Hi I'm 43 and peri-menopausal and just went through ultrasound and biopsy to investigate a mass in my left breast only. Pathology report was 'benign fybrocystic change'. I haven't been able to speak to a doctor about it but wondering if anyone on here is my age going through peri-menopause and going through this pain which moves around only one breast. I thought the main contributing factor was higher levels of estrogen but I have very low levels.

Through research I've seen that taking progesterone will help the pain and cysts but it seems my problems started after I started taking wild yam derived progesterone.

Any thoughts or ideas about this? I will be getting some iodine and evening primrose and seeing if that helps. Thanks for all the info.

Sivitri, in our case we learned from Teds writings on balancing hormones. We use naturally derived progesterone, no wild yam as Ted says it is best. We also take Pregnanolone and DHEA. It made an enormous difference for my husband and I. Here is his chapter of e mails re Balancing Hormones. http://ted.earthclinic.com/cures/hormones.html
