My daughter also suffered from unexplained stomaches. After a Dr. visit yielded no help I ended up taking her to a chiropractor. Presto!! Her spine was out of alignment and as soon as she was adjusted no more stomachaches. Now when her stomach starts to hurt, off we go to the chiropractor and she's always out of alignment. Quick and painless!! Give it a try. It's a much better alternative than reflux meds!! Good Luck!!Replied by Kathy (Nevada, nv) on 07/04/2009
Perhaps you can get her to have about 2 oz. of aloe vera after each meal. That helped me with acid reflux.Replied by Becky (Rockford, Michigan ) on 07/04/2009
Could it be allergies? My daughter used to have a stomach ache every morning because of the mucus that was draining down the back of her throat all night due to allergies. Once we controlled the allergies, the stomach problems went away. Just a thought!Replied by R (E, CO) on 07/16/2009

This is what I do: I take a leaf of aloe vera and I freeze it then when it's firm I cut about 3 inches off. I cut the off the needles and the green covering. Then I simply cut up the aloe in very small pieces and put 4 or 5 in a cup of water and drink the whole thing down. Your child may not like the taste so I don't see a problem with mixing it with something like apple juice. With the rest of the cut up aloe I put it in a rubbermaid container in the fridge and just drink a 1/4 cup after every meal or just some at night before bed. Just freeze the whole aloe leaf in a baggie it will keep for a long time! PS as far as the apple cider goes....my niece is 8 and has been requesting it ever since she first tasted it! She loves it. I add a pinch of baking soda and honey and ACV to warm water....for a 4 year old I would use 1/2 tsp of ACV. We have not stomach problems for a long time!Replied by Lisa (Socal, Ca) on 01/13/2010
My daughter was getting stomach aches almost every day as well. The doctor did a Food Intolerance test for her and found she was intolerant to: Milk, broccoli, peanut butter ( not allergy), Oats and barley. When we took these items out of her diet, most of her stomach aches went away. She still gets one once in a while when she knowingly "cheats".
The Food intolerance tests are NOT 100 % accurate, but it will point you in the right direction. Or you can do a food elimination diet to find out which foods "don't agree" with you.
