Have you tried consuming electrolytes? Ted from Bangkok has a homemade recipe in the posts (lime w/bicarbonate and water)-- I haven't tried it yet --and I've been using Ultima brand powdered electrolytes with water, orange flavor, naturally flavored it says, but check with the company if you're concerned about any additives. My skin looks much much better. I think I have a propensity to be dehydrated, so I'm working on that from the inside-out.Replied by Sheila (San Diego, Ca, Usa) on 05/19/2011
BTW, I'm 44 this year, am Asian; been told I look like I'm an easy 30. I have some of those crepe-y lines you mentioned too, but they've lessened from the electrolytes and some very sound sleep I've been getting. I'm going to look into my digestive health and research body hydration. Reading the books from Dr. F. Batmanghelidj.Replied by Sheila (San Diego, Ca, Usa) on 05/19/2011
Seems I have a lot of additions to my initial posted reply: I mentioned being Asian (more specifically a Pacific Islander, and a long time sun worshipper) because I often hear "nice, young-looking skin" associated with being Asian.
Also, I'm not so resistant to aging now, after promising myself I'd age gracefully, and as healthfully as possible. Somehow promising that when I turned 35 has helped me mentally.
You're 31, so you have started early. If only my 16 year old would dump most of her mass-marketed make up and OTC remedies... Maybe not all, but most... She'd have less dependency on it as an adult. : )
