I was ready to write a NAY for this remedy, but I'm happy to report that it worked. Yesterday evening I had a head cold so severe I thought my right eyeball was going to pop out of my head from the sinus pressure. I made up the tea per the recipe, substituting organic tomato juice for the V8 (which I think is gross) and bottled lemon juice for fresh (because I didn't have lemons). I also added a few dashes of cayenne. I didn't have high hopes for the flavor, since I don't love tomato soup, but it was quite tasty. I ate it like a soup and used the spoon the suck the brew to the back of my throat, which was sore. After drinking most of the tea, my sinuses alleviated somewhat, but were still very clogged. I went to bed miserable. When I woke up at 4 AM to use the bathroom, I was able to blow pretty much everything out of my nose, but I now had a raging sore throat. I managed to go back to sleep, and when I woke up at 8 AM my sore throat was gone. There's some residual mucous in my system, but my coughs are very productive and it's draining pretty easily now. This remedy's going to be a keeper, I think.

I came down with a horrible sinus infection that started on Monday. By Wednesday I couldn't even use the netipot my nose was so clogged and my face hurt really bad. I came to Earth Clinic for a remedy and thought I would try the Tomato Tea. I prepared the tea as instructed using 5 cloves of crushed garlic and cayenne pepper (as much as I could stand) and drank two cups of the tea hot. I was hoping for some immediate relief but instead went to bed feeling miserable ready to post a NAY report the following day. When I woke up the next day I was so excited; my sinus congestion was gone! A big YAY for the Tomato Tea!

I have used the Tomato Tea remedy many times and it works very well for me. I travel alot and it's nice to have something you can whip up just about anywhere. One thing I did discover, is if you are using a powdered herb like cayenne pepper, make sure that the bottle is not too old. The first batch I made of Tomato Tea had very little "kick" and by taste testing the cayenne by itself, I found that it had lost it's potency. Also I see people who say it did not work well for them, but they where very skimpy on the ingredients. It's the pepper in the mix that will clear the airways and stop the nose from running. A few times when I have been traveling, I have taken a empty gelatin capsule and filled it with cayenne pepper and it works well by itself to help the congestion. I like the Tea better, as I am a fan of garlic. If the Tea seems too hot to you put some honey in it and it will be sweet and spicy.

I had a sinus cold with headache that nothing was touching. I tried Jean's tea - 2 cups - and didn't have high expectations but noticed within a couple of hours my headache was gone and I had tons of energy!! I did all the dishes and took the dog for a loooong walk. The cold hasn't returned to the original level but I only had 1 cup the next day and nothing the following day so now I have an earache. Starting up with 2 more cups of tea today!

I'm pregnant, so phamaceuticals are out of the question, and have the worst head cold I can ever remember... so congested that I was starting to know what a panic attack might feel like... I just couldn't breathe, it was worse lying down, and when I swallowed it felt like my throat might not again open... terrifying! The tomato tea worked within one cup (doctored with habanero as well as tabasco sauce and extra garlic). Amazing! Thank you. I might actually get some sleep tonight.

I am soo grateful to have found this site and the Tomato Tea as well as the ACV. I've never had sinus pain like this in my life - facial sinus pain, eye, ear, head; all ached for 8 days straight with NO relief but two hours when I popped ibprophen, which I didn't like doing. I drank hot water w/ACV, oil of oregano(1 dropper full), liquid garlic (9 drops) last night before bed. NO pain! THEN, I did the Tomato Tea all day today and tonight. STILL, NO PAIN! It's my miracle for the day and I'm grateful. I'm sharing it with everyone. Thank YOU!

Yea

It works immediately and, with a bit of persistance, for the long haul. I have terrible painful problems with ear pressure and hate the thought of a drive to the mountains or flying. If I have had even the slightest congestion before such a trip, I start weeks ahead with the Tomato Tea until every trace of the congestion is completely gone.

To the basic recipe, I add 1/2 tsp. horseradish. If planning to be sociable, I eliminate the garlic. I also use habanero sauce with great effectiveness. :-)

AMAZING. First of all, earth clinic as saved me so many trips to the doctor, and so much money. I try to avoid pharmaceuticals as much as possible. I have been battling this cold for a week, and finally broke down and bought some OTC decongestant. It did not help at all, just made me lethargic. I didn't have any tomato juice on hand, but i couldn't smell or taste anything anyway, so i put 1 tablespoon of cayenne pepper and 1 tablespoon granulated garlic in water with about a tablespoon of lemon juice and popped it in the microwave for two minutes. After about fifteen minutes of sipping/inhaling the tea i could breath again! Fortunately/unfortunately my sense of taste started to return, so i'm going to have to go get some juice to continue. Thank you sooo much for this remedy! I don't know what i would do without this site.

YEA - Tomato Tea

Wow, incredible results in a manner of minutes. I cannot believe how well this works. I have had 6 weeks of allergies and sinus medications and an addiction to Afrin and rebound effect. Cut the afrin today and had 100% blockage on right side. Did the tea and was 90% clear before I was half done with tea. I am completely blown away at results, hope it lasts. How often do you need to drink tea?
