We haven't had hot water at our house for almost a year now because the gas bill was too high. So we decided to go without. I was forced into taking cold showers. In the summer, the water was cold, but not freezing, so when I got out, I was very cold. Winter is just ending and the water has never been colder. It's so cold I almost can't breathe out when I'm under it. Still, as soon as the water turns off, I'm instantly warm and inexplicably comfortable. I've never felt better.

The shower itself is torturous for the first few minutes, but when it's over I feel amazing. I can't explain why I feel so warm immediately after the shower. I don't even shiver, I feel perfect. It's two things in one. It's a thrill/challenge, and it's therapy. I'm addicted to both the rush and the incredible comfort that immediately follows.

Cold showers have had a very positive effect on my health. Can't do without them now and hot showers almost seem repellent to me. The following has occurred since i started taking them 3 months ago: better circulation, less sweating, no colds/flu/infections,clearer mind, cleaner skin (blackheads have cleared up), no body odour...miraculous. I can vouch for cold showers and best of all it's totally free! I am definitely an addict.

Read about it on this site. Have been taking cold showers for several months now. Having well water its very cold even in the summer. If i stick my head into the stream of water first the initial shock is not bad at all. Then it just feels super you feel so refreshed and awake. Seem to be very good for the skin and have not had a cold since . I look Forward to it now.

I have been taking cold showers for 3 years. I am 22 now. For 3 years I did not have any illness. I start with feet, legs, then arms and finally all my body. My skin got much beautiful and my hair looks very healthy. It also gives a particular mood to me, and makes me feel very good.

I came across cold shower benefits because of this war and the HIGH gas prices. I used electric heat in the winter but continued to use gas for my hot showers. After receiving a gas bill about $100 for some hot bath water I was DONE! It actually wasn't that bad when I started. I would adjust the hot water as if it was there - Mental thing...LOL! My skin was already nice but NOW it is sooo much smoother and soft! I feel so energized after my cold showers. I notice that when I get ready for one my body actually increases in temperature. I feel hot and can't wait to get in there. I do still take them that time of the month - It doesn't bother me at all. I am glad I am not the only one doing this...I was feeling crazy! But I am glad that it really does help with other things. This is really great!

My body hums, vibrates with energy, after a cold shower, very obviously so when I take one just before bed .I lie down on nice clean sheets with a fresh feeling that honestly makes me feel like a kid again. I feel sensual, youthful, trim and slim after a cold shower. As a professional artist my color palette has become brighter, cleaner and more like freshly squeezed fruit juice than in past. My ideas have opened up, become more playful and light hearted. I have opened up more to other people which has attracted new clients into my business life. I have no interest in hot showers. The thought of standing under hot water is actually unpleasant to me now. I love stepping under the flow of water that feels like plunging into ocean. You get the same rush of electricity from a cold shower as you do in large bodies of water. I wish that I had known about them years ago .They have changed my entire outlook on life which is helping the world because I am more loving, open and kind to the people that I come into contact with. I am also more tolerant of situations that used to drive me into states of serious anxiety.

OMG, I feel like I've discovered the HOLY GRAIL! I'm taking 5 cold showers a day, sometimes 4. I didn't expect to be in the city again and have temporarily ended up in San Jose, Costa Rica, after having been in the country near Nicaragua for 3 months chillin' in nature. It's an armpit of a city and very noisy and my nervous system goes into overdrive in this kind of environment and I get rashes! Anyway, I know 5 cold showers might seems excessive but it totally calms me down, brings me to life, washes away a lot of the over stimulation feeling (which can drive a person mad with hyperactivity) and keeps the rashes down to ZERO! WOOHOO! Whenever I start to feel messed up, i just hop in the shower and zZIP, I've got a whole new body and outlook!

Definitely try the cold shower along with the cold bath to lower blood pressure. My wife knows this Russian secret for youth and longevity. This is it. I am more vigorous, awake, and relaxed after a cold shower or cold bath. Also, try the cold warm rotation method. Sit in the cold bath for a few minutes (yes, submerge your head for a few seconds) and then have the shower fairly warm and do this several times. WOW!!

Recently I have just started taking cold showers. Now after 3 months, my mood and health feel incredible! I'm addicted to cold showers, they feel so refreshing and relaxing, it feels like i'm under a waterfall. Before I started taking cold showers, I used to suffer from fatigue and after the first cold shower my mood and health feel 100%.

I know a man who suffered a heart attack at the age of 45. He lives near the beach and started to take a bath in the ocean every day, even in the winter. He is 93 now! He claims he never even had a cold since he started.
