Apple Cider Vinegar Lemonade Recipe

Masquita (The South) on 05/12/2016

Vinegar Lemonade.

I started mixing up a gallon of "lemonade":

  • 1 cup bottled lemon juice
  • 8 packets of stevia
  • Put in fridge and chill well.

Pour some in a glass, then pour in however much raw apple cider vinegar you can handle. I used to HATE drinking vinegar, even though I believed in its benefits. I just couldn't get it down. Now, I love it and drink it several times a day, as much as I want.

Daniel's Apple Cider Vinegar Drink Recipe

Daniel (Quapaw, Ok) on 07/07/2015

I have recently been reading up on ACV remedies, and I also have a coworker that drinks a glass every day RELIGIOUSLY, so I thought it would be worth a try. I used some ideas from other people's posts on here (THANK YOU! ), and I have come up my own version of the recipe for my dad and I. He HATES trying new things (a lot in fear of getting an upset stomach), and he is very picky on flavors of food and drinks that he does/doesn't like.

I put the following recipe together as something he will hopefully be willing to drink, and maybe even be a flavor he LIKES! At first I tried just mixing ACV in sweet tea as well as tomato juice, and although the tomato juice worked better, neither seemed to be covering the bitterness of the ACV quite well enough to be a drink anyone could truly enjoy. I went to Walmart last night and bought some new ingredients to try something different, and here is what I came up with:

  • 2 TBSP - Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1/2 TSP - Baking Soda
  • 1 TSP - Stevia Sweetener
  • 1/2 TSP - Coconut Cooking Oil

All the ingredients together only cost $15-$20, or higher if you go with the name-brands.

Stir it all together in a full size drinking glass, fill it the rest of the way up with cold water, stir again, add ice for a nice chilled drink, and ENJOY!

I just had a glass myself and it tasted GREAT...no more bitter ACV taste!!! The coconut oil is simply to add extra health benefits, and the coconut oil brand I found was already put in a liquid form for easy mixing instead of using typical extra virgin coconut oil that comes in the "jelly-like" form.

I am hoping this will help my dad and I on a multitude of problems...bad allergies, congestion, breathing problems, restlessness, insomnia, low energy levels, high triglycerides, blood pressure, migraine headaches, acid reflux, constipation, anxiety, depression, blood clots, cysts, various forms of cancer, GERD, water retention, acne/skin irritations, heart health, and hopefully some others too!

I hope this recipe helps someone else out there (I RARELY have time to write online posts), and I will try to give more information once we start seeing/feeling some of the benefits. I will be mixing a glass for my dad as soon as he wakes up from his nap, and hopefully he likes the new recipe!

By the way, I tried adding some cinnamon to the recipe, and it didn't work out too well, haha...I wouldn't recommend trying that one! Thanks again to all the contributors out there!!!

Hot, Yummy 'Cider' Drink Made With Apple Cider Vinegar

Queen Victoria (Colorado Springs, CO) on 11/05/2014

Here is a recipe I tried out that I got from another remedy topic on EC. One mug of hot water. 1Tbs. ACV (Bragg's is the best), 1Tbs. Honey (Local organic honey the best), 1/4 Tsp. Cinnamon (preferably organic) Stir and sip. This stuff tastes just like hot apple cider. So yummy! If you wanted to, I'm sure you could use 2 TBS of ACV & 2 of honey to get more of the ACV benefit. Of course it will taste stronger. Try it, you'll love it!

ACV/ BS Honey Dosage

Lisa (Huntington Beach, California) on 09/11/2014

Please give me the starting dosage amount for the ACV/BS with Honey. Many of your readers are taking it in varying doses. I am 190 lbs and 5'10". My diabetes is fairly well managed. Occasional stomach swelling, gerd, athritis, headache after eating. 46 year old female. Your readers vary wildly on their individual doses. So it's unclear to me where I should start and how I should increase. And what is the bicarbonate for?

I can't find anywhere the dosage one should take for ACV, does someone have a dosage chart that would be helpful?

EC: Hi Lisa,

Check out our ACV recipe page here.

I juice every morning with an apple, orange, strawberries, blueberries, and kiwi and add 2 TBSP of ACV and I have lost 20lbs since January. The good thing is that I lost my weight slowly and will likely maintain it. This is the best I've felt in years!

Apple Cider Vinegar Lemonade

I have trouble swallowing apple cider vinegar in water so here is a recipe that I think tastes like lemonade and really makes it easy to drink.

Ingredients:
1 cup water
2 Tbsp. Apple Cider Vinegar
2 packets lemon powder (It's all natural ground up powdered lemon sold near the spices- it comes in a box of 18 packets-ask your grocer- the regular grocery stores carry it, it comes in orange and lime, too!
two packets Stevia Powder (health food store or regular grocery store).

This tastes like regular lemonade with a kick to me! I do suggest that you drink the regular apple cider vinegar in water first, that way you can appreciate how great and normal this tastes! Good luck!

Apple Cider Vinegar Dosages and Recipes

I have been drinking apple cider vinegar (ACV) for 6 years for my acid reflux AND bile reflux and it works every time. BUT... I have some sage advice you will appreciate. DO NOT use regular ACV you find in your average grocery store. That stuff is like battery acid and does not work as well, taste as good or is as beneficial as Organic Unfiltered apple cider vinegar. That filtered ACV is bad, bad, bad. I mix my organic, unfiltered apple cider vinegar 50/50 with water and keep it cold in the fridge. If you take a couple of swigs before eating it will prevent problems. If you are having an acid/bile problem then take a couple of swigs and wait 5 minutes. If the problem continues take two more swigs. That usually does the trick but there are those rare occasions that I have to do three doses, but it ALWAYS works. After 7 years on Protonics and then Prilosec I now ONLY use this apple cider vinegar and it works better than those drugs, with no side affects AND other great benefits.

Thanks for the apple cider vinegar recipe in apple juice. I was just trying to get back to drinking apple cider vinegar (ACV) with water. It was still hard to get down so I made a larger drink by adding some cold apple juice to the water & apple cider vinegar. I plan to take it daily this way from now on, since I'm diabetic and limit my juice intake. The watered down Apple juice cold water 2Tbs ACV, it the way to go!

This is the delicious way I add apple cider vinager to my daily routine. After a long walk with my dog, I pour half glass of cold water, half glass of cherry pomegranate juice, squirt of lemon and lime juice and 1 tsp yes 1 tsp of apple cider vinegar with lots of ice and it is so good, I don't taste or smell the acv. I also drink it with a straw. YUMMY!

I don't understand why anyone would try taking apple cider vinegar (ACV) straight. I take about 2 tea spoons ACV mixed with about 4 Tbs of apple juice. Taste is not strong at all. This mix works great and is not hard to take. By the way, you only taste the first and last swollow of any liquid.

Earth Clinic (USA) on 04/01/2009

As you may know, Earth Clinic has recommended the standard 2 teaspoons in 8 oz of water 3x a day for years now. For more severe conditions, we recommended 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar in 8 oz of water 3x a day. We now think that less vinegar, more water is an optimal way of taking apple cider vinegar daily unless you are treating an acute condition like acid reflux, cough, bronchitis, or sore throat (in which case the stronger concoction of 2 TBS apple cider vinegar (ACV) to 8 OZ of water 3x a day recipe is suggested).

For daily maintenance, weight loss and pH balancing, we now suggest the following:

2 teaspoons of organic apple cider vinegar
16 ounces of water
Sip, don't chug!

We suggest 2 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar in 16 ounces of water that you'll sip throughout the day, rather than drinking the whole concoction at once 3 times a day. You will be keeping your pH in a constant, alkalized state by sipping this highly diluted dosage. Usually 1-2 tall glasses of the concoction are all you'll need each day.

If you drink a lot of water throughout the day, consider adding just a splash of apple cider vinegar to your glass/container each time you fill it up, rather than drinking the one, 16 oz glass of acv and water mentioned above.

Apple Cider Vinegar and Hydrogen Peroxide Use

Mykl (Vancouver, Wa) on 01/31/2011

One of the biggest contributors to digestive problems is that most people tend to swallow their food too soon, meaning, not chewing it enough/long enough. Chew more swallow less. That said, I've been using apple cider vinegar (ACV) for quite some time now and I suffered with very bad heartburn/acid reflux for years. Then I came across ACV therapy while researching H2o2 therapy. There's another therapy that will amaze you. H2o2 and ACV therapy make a good pair to draw too.

As for ACV and mixing it with something try about 6 oz of Pomegranate green tea and a table spoon of ACV. I personally use 2 about tablespoons. Mornings and late afternoons. When I first tried apple cider vinegar to combat my acid reflux (and don't let anyone tell you acid reflux is a disease, big pharma pushes this) I would take it straight. If this is new for you be ready to think you've made a mistake. Why? It will heat you up from your sinuses through your throat, esophagus into the belly. The vapors will make it feel like it's taking your breath away. Steel yourself and muscle through it, do not breath. Don't fret the heat you feel from it, it dissipates rapidly and you'll be amazed. This is my personal experience. I have had no acid reflux in 2 years. One slight case due to, guess what? "diet". I lost 25 lbs and I've kept it off for a year and a half now.

note: your liver/kidneys love apple cider vinegar. Every cell in your body loves H2o2. Research hydrogen peroxide. Food grade!
