I have used the original Cansema on facial cancer after the dermatologist cut it out as there was still some cancer left around the periphery.

I will be using it again on another spot as well. However, the original Cansema manufacturer has moved to Ecuador (as someone mentioned) due to FDA harassment.

I found other black salves locally which contained bloodroot and other necessary ingredients but they did not contain the zinc chloride. Without the zinc chloride it probably would not be as effective on anything but the most benign skin issues. I would like to know the formula/ratios so I can add my own zinc chloride- as necessary- to a mild formula I can buy over-the-counter.

Hi Lee in Australia: Try to see Bill O'leary's cancer story on you tube or google. This may be of interest to you. I have used the salve and it cured a basal cell on my leg.

Replying to posts regarding bloodroot for skin cancer on the basis of my personal experience and my own personal synthesis from my own healing journey from a deep muscle/sinew cancer on the inside of my left elbow during the last two years:

Always start a suspected skin cancer treatment with multi-layered iodine as per the Simoncini protocol. Paint a layer of iodine, let dry, then repeat the process 9 times. Try to do this at least once per day for the first 10 days. If it is cancer, it will react visibly and you just continue the treatment until completion. Always paint 1cm beyond the visible boundary and if the area reacts try to paint 2 or 3 times per day. If possible use Lugols or mix 50/50 Lugol 5% with regular tincture. Set up a fan so that it dries faster. The alcohol helps it dry faster and aids in penetration. There are two reasons it is so important to always use iodine as first treatment with suspected skin cancer:

1. You need to discover the true depth and bredth of the cancer which is often considerably larger than the presenting lesion. The biggest problem with biopsy and surgery is that an MD doesn't know the actual dimensions of the cancer and sinking a knife into it is going to make it spread. By using iodine, you will get a good idea of what you are dealing with.

2: If it's just a small or even large but superficial lesion then the iodine will easily heal it without any scarring. But if it forms a running sore, then iodine is inappropriate and you can be very glad that you did not make the potentially fatal error of using an MD. In this case you need to move to Black Salve and it may be necessary to do successive treatments. Each time the salve will penetrate deeper and cause more pain. The first couple of times, it is usually sufficient with ibuprofen or acetominophen but after that you'll probably want to go to an MD to get som codein tablets. You need to treat systemically also and volumes are written about this but essentially: detox, diet change, high potency supplements and deparasitizing. A Hoxey tonic with very high dosed Lugols might be a good idea. The original Hoxey tonic was mixed in a base of potassium iodide and it was likely very strong. I take a gram per day of Lugols.

Start small and work up but don't let someone convince you that iodine is not important.

My Grandmother discovered this remedy shortly before her son (my uncle) passed away from pancreatic cancer. She had tried all kinds of different things mainstream health care and herbal care but nothing seemed to stop the progression. As you may know pancreatic cancer is one of the most progressive types of cancer which made it even more difficult. She discovered "black Salve" (blood root and zinc paste) only a month or two before he passed away by that time the cancer had spread all over his body. She began applying it to a large area with the most cancer and wrapping him with gauze. It began working immediately the cancer was beginning to come through the skin in clumps. Though she continued the process for a long time it did not work quick enough at the stage that he was in and he passed away shortly. Since then my grandmother has made it a mission to let people know about this alternative cancer remedy. This has been used by Indians for hundreds of years. It remove warts, virus's, moles and cancers. When Chemo fails and makes you sick and weak and you hair falls out there is a better method. I will warn you this is neither a painless or pretty process, but it is effective. My grandma has taken on many "patients" and supplied them with this black salve and healing salve and showed them how to do it. She has had over 20 successful cases where any cancer from lung to breast to skin have literally disappeared and saved death row people from death. She has them keep going to the doctors for regular check-ups and x-rays by the time they are done with the regimen the are healthy and the doctors are baffled. This is something that needs to be known about and something doctors need to stop denying. I will warn you again it is painful and it is not pretty and it might leave a little scaring buy between life and death could you deal with that right? What you do is go to the doctor get you x-ray apply it over the area that is most infected with cancer you begin to see it come out day by day. You want to rotate every other day with heal salve to heal a little too. but if you can take the pain for a month or so you should be able to get rid of he cancer and live many more happy years. Beats years of chemo huh :)

I just learned of black salve from a friend of mine who used it on a growth on her breast that looked like it had spider veins coming from it when xrayed. In 6 months time, when they re-xrayed that growth it was completely gone! I have psoriosis and am wondering if anyone has any info on me maybe trying this black salve on it

My husband's father was diagnosed with lymph node cancer and was given two months to die. They first wanted to cut out the cancer and then do radiation. He was a devout christian and he prayed and felt he was directed to use blood root paste topically and I think pills too. He followed a specific nutrition plan to boost his natural killer cells along with it and within six months there was no sign of cancer in the pet scan or mri or cat scan at all. None. I had a history of cervical cancer with two bouts undergoing laser surgery and I took two bottles of the stuff and noticed heavy menstual cycles with seemingly black materials. I returned to the doctors for a schedule for surgery and they told me that there was no sign of the growth. I have been fine for a year now. Later I checked the net on bloodroot and found the fda banned it's use in toothpaste and for cancer; personally it appears that USA is heavily influenced by poilitian money and pharmeceutical money for the products it releases to the public, not off their medicinal merit.

Better But With Side Effects

Well I have mixed feelings about Bloodroot.

Yes, I have seen it remove "so called tumors". I have used it to remove moles, etc, and it did a great job. People told me that it would not react if there was nothing cancerous, but this is not true. It did in fact burn skin which I put it on as an experient. I had this "white head" gland under the skin on my face. I hated it because ever so often it would fill up with a white waxy goo. I wanted to see if I could take that gland out with some bloodroot so I put some on, covered it with a bandaid and within 24 hours, my whole face was swollen, eyes swollen nearly shut. It scared me and was very painful. A few days later a hugh tumor like thing came out, but it was shaped exactly the same shape as where I had put the bloodroot which let me know that it was burning ALL the skin I had put it on and then causing a scab, which some people may be mistakingly calling tumors.

Could these hunks of flesh simply be scar tissue from the deep skin burns that bloodroot causes? Well it took out the gland which came loose with the scab, but I mashed aound on the scab that came out, and there was no "tumor", just dead burned skin with an oil gland in the enter. So if there was no skin cancer there to begin with, then why did it burn my skin?

Now I had something like a third degree burn on my face that has left a huge scar on my face. It's a raised scar called a keloid, and the pigment is gone too, so if my skin tans, I have this huge white spot on my face. So here's what I say about bloodroot. It may work in some cases, but unless you want a huge scar, think twice about using it, and never use it on your face unless you don't care being called "scarface" for the rest of your life. Aren't there some bonified scientists out there who want to do some testing on this powerful herb??

I mean, come on, where's their sense of adventure? There may not be any money in it, but I've seen people spend small fortunes on less exciting experiments. Someone definately needs to test out this POWERFUL herb and see what it's vices and virtues are, because as I say IT'S A POWERFUL herb.

PS: I used it on a cancerous tumor on an elderly cat, and it took the tumor off, but she was dead within a month. Seems like the cancer seems to spread within her quicker. I wonder if it was because I disturbed it with the bloodroot, and didn't get it all. I'll never know. It was worth a try as I didn't have enough money for vet surgery, but she died anyway.

So I don't know about this drug. In my opinion much more studying needs to be done. I'm sure Bloodroot is great for certain things, and I certainly don't want to be overly skeptical, but... just so little is known about how to actually harness it's powers. I want it to be the miracle that cancer victims all hope for, but we just don't know for sure yet and well....just proceed with caution. Even natural things can kill if you don't know the correct way to use them.

Black Salve and "Tonic" from yahoo group "blacksalveandpetswithcancer" for a lump. I had a cancerous tonsil removed, but still had an almond-sized lump under my jaw. The lump seems gone. You can see photos at: http://tinyurl.com/zmwos. The tonic has chapparal, graviola, neem and andrographis. I recommend looking at the yahoo group posts and files for more information. Most in the group felt Essiac tea was not as effective as the Tonic. In fact, Essiac tea sometimes enlarged the tumors. I was to have 40 rounds of chemo/radiation; but the salve worked in 20 days and I believe the entire tumor was removed. I will continue drinking the Tonic.
