Toe Spacers for Ball of Foot Pain/Metatarsalgia
My husband recently turned 60 and has taken up walking. He walks a 5K most days of the week now. I am so proud of him!
He was starting to have ball of foot pain, in the middle, near the middle toe. He thought it was a blister or corn, but there was nothing to see on the ball of the foot. I had similar pain when I took up ballet. It ended up being metatarsalgia. I had used toe spacers after many other failed remedies with success.
I gave him my toe spacers (silicone - like what you would use to do a pedicure) and he used them for 20 minutes a couple of nights in a row and hasn't had pain since.
We have so many muscles in our feet! They need care, too! Strengthening and stretching our feet can help with flat and all sorts of foot issues. Being on our feet all day does not accomplish this. If you have foot problems, find some feet stretch and strengthen videos to watch and try to give some TLC for your feet.
