Macular Edema Remedies Needed

mercid (CA) on 04/27/2025

In 2017 I had an occlusion in one eye that was naturally resolved without any major complication but a galaxy of tiny floaters. I used to have floaters in both eyes due to vitreous detachment and after the occlusion they multiply in that eye. Now I began to have aniseikonia (sizes of objects and specially letters are smaller) in the same eye. Also, the vision deteriorated in that eye, although I have 20/30 and 20/25 in the other. The diagnosis is macular edema. Doctors recommended injections (antiVGEF) but there must be some other natural way. I read about DMSO drops in the eye. In regards to floaters I read about castor oil drops in eye. I had Hashimoto’s and went on synthetic replacement. Finally, I found out that eliminating gluten (I’m intolerant) reduced my antibodies from 940 to 125. Now I they are not affecting my thyroid anymore. In regards to my eyes I see better since I’m doing eye exercises and the distortion in my eye diminished. My major concern at this time is the macular edema. I’ll try DMSO diluted 50/15. Please, I would appreciate your opinion. Thanks.

I have read that castor oil applied to the eyelids at night over a number of weeks can help you get rid of macular edema, as it draws impurities from the eyes. The person who mentioned this remedy said she had also been using an eye mask on top of her eyes at night, to create the effect of a castor oil pack over the eyes. I hope this helps.
