I realize this is an old post, but I am interested in making the saturated borax solution. Can you speculate on how much borax to use? I saw one recommendation of dissolving 3 TB borax in 1 cup water but haven't tried it yet.

Hi Susan,

One level full tablespoon of borax in a cup of room temperature water should make a saturated solution of borax. After dissolving you may see a very small amount of borax at the bottom that hasn't dissolved and that indicates the solution is fully saturated.

Thank you Art! My husband tried this and it worked quickly and well. He applied the solution two times per day for about two weeks.
