I was diagnosed with arthritis, sciatica and degenerative disc disease. I've had multiple head & neck injuries. Just the flowing agents in salt/spices cause me joint pain. I have to stay away from hidden sources of MSG. Capsules alone are a hidden source.
I use RealSalt that doesn't have anything else in it. I do not get the flavored varieties. It is available in health food stores and on Amazon.
I stumbled on this post and remembered I had copied the constituents of Himalayan salt for a friend:
Here are the 84 constituents of Himalayan Salt:
hydrogen, lithium, beryllium, boron, carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, fluoride, sodium, magnesium, aluminum, silicon, phosphorus, sulfur, chloride, calcium, scandium, titanium, vanadium, chromium, manganese, iron, cobalt, nickel, copper, zinc, gallium, germanium, arsenic, selenium, bromine, rubidium, strontium, yttrium, zirconium, niobium, molybdenum, ruthenium, rhodium, palladium, silver, cadmium, indium, tin, antimony, tellurium, iodine, cesium, barium, lanthanum, cerium, praseodymium, samarium, europium, gadolinium, terbium, dysprosium, holmium, erbium, thulium, ytterbium, lutetium, hafnium, tantalum, tungsten, rhenium, osmium, iridium, platinum, gold, mercury, thallium, lead, bismuth, polonium, astatine, francium, radium, actinium, thorium, protactinium, uranium, neptunium, and plutonium

KT,
I'm confused, are you saying Himalayan Salt is a good, or bad thing?

Australians can get natural rock salt, evaporated sea salt, by Saxa.

"Real Salt" brand is highly contaminated with dangerous levels of LEAD and ARSENIC. It was Tested by an independent Lab and was found to contain VERY HIGH levels of LEAD and ARSENIC. LEAD = 290 ppb (5 ppb is Unsafe for children) ARSENIC = 91 ppb (10 ppb is Unsafe for children). It is on iHerb and quite popular, and unfortunately people disregard or simply don't read negative comments.

Thank you for the headsup on this salt that I’ve been using, thinking it was healthy for my family. I’ve now switched to New Zealands Frezzor sea salt. Hopefully this is a healthier one…
