Post-Operative Heartburn After Appendectomy

Myrrh (Yucca AZ) on 01/26/2022

I just had an appendectomy and am experiencing painful heartburn whenever I eat or drink. It’s not in the aftermath of doing either. As soon as I swallow and the food/drink reaches a certain point in my esophagus? the heartburn is intense.

Anyone have this issue? I’m mixing honey with warm water and sipping that as well as bananas blended with plain Kefir. The anticipation of pain makes it hard to want to eat/drink anything.

I can take a stab at it. First you had a lot of stress. Stress dehydrates but they probably hydrated you. A pinch of Pink salt with water helps work for digestion and anti bacterial . Stress lowers magnesium. Magnesium can be obtained through an Epsom salt foot soak if you can't take a bath. Magnesium affects valves on top of gut and rectum. Low magnesium affects swallowing and mouth .

I think lemon ginger tea may help the most. I have used a lot of kefirs but not recent but if your stress allowed lower gut bacteria to get into upper gut, then the kefir will add to the imbalance and not correct it. Kefir should be used after a day of having Apple cider vinegar in water to kill off any overgrowth there, and then slowly add kefir. Banana may be helping potassium. Bromelain is spendy but wonderful for digestion issues and calming.

Please add B vitamins, which will coat the nerves and increase your appetite and confidence in eating.

Have a few sips of pure Aloe Vera, it's helped me.
