Yikes, Clio51!!! Please DILUTE it!! I also do the swishing but with a VERY diluted amount and do see a slow whitening of my teeth. No rush.

Dear Clio51, it sounds to me like the hydrogen peroxide may have caused Burning Mouth Syndrome. Once you have sores on your tongue, certain things like the chemicals in some toothpastes can aggravate it and prevent healing. Check out this page on Earth Clinic: www.earthclinic.com/cures/burning-mouth-syndrome.html for tips. Please let us know how you are doing.

I haven't read this specifically, but if I were you, I would try oil pulling with organic virgin coconut oil to see if it eases the pain in your tongue from rinsing with hydrogen peroxide. Coconut oil is so gentle and effective for so many things, I'm wondering if it would help your mouth. One this is for sure, it can't hurt!

This soreness is an inflamed response or healing reaction due to peroxide killing bacterial or other infections. As the infections clear and the tissue becomes healthier this won't be an issue unless you attain a new infection and the peroxide must do its germ killing job again. Please only use food grade peroxide. Others contain additives which may be causing the irritation.

I swished twice for 39 minutes. 2 days later I notice a chipped tooth at where it bites down. I cracked some hickory nuts w my teeth today and just noticed it. I've bitten on hard things before and this never happened. My 1st chipped tooth w my permanent teeth. Be very very cautious of this. Im glad for this site but perhaps incidents like this should be called attention to.
