Seeking Pyloric Stenosis Remedies for Dogs (New Pets Page Created)

Posted By Tnroses (Tennessee) on 07/15/2023

"Has anyone had any luck naturally treating pyloric stenosis in dogs? My friend had a 2 yr lab with this (male) and can’t afford surgery. He has to have an almost liquid diet in order not to through up."

"I hope the 2 yr old is hanging in there. I have an almost 12 yr old and they won’t do surgery because of her 4 other diseases. I am not sure how much longer she can go on but I have an appointment with nutritionist on the 20th and on the 27th we will see if there is any hope for her. Will follow up here if there is any promising news."

"Hi Kat,

My 15 y.o. chihuahua rescue that I've had for four years is struggling with this diagnosis. Veterinarians are recommending Hills diet GI biome food, which he has tried and did not like or respond to well. I am looking for a nutritionist. Did you have any luck finding a good dog nutritionist. I know this post is old but hoping to hear back

Thanks,

Keshia

"Ragarding Hill's pet food: Many years ago, it was prescribed for our 16 year old incontinent kitty. It was expensive, looked awful, smelled awful, and she didn't like it. For the little while I made her eat it, it made no difference.

I wonder if vets get kickbacks from pushing this brand.

If I were to face that again, I would go with homemade."
