Borax and Peroxide Application Tips

Posted By Didi's Mom (Usa) on 06/07/2018

"I used this years ago and it worked. What I did was soak an old t-shirt or towel in Ted's peroxide and borax mange solution (My dog is 90 pounds) and then I applied it to his skin and sat with him for the amount of time. That way it was able to saturate on him and it got all the skin. I did not rinse it off. I applied it to all parts of the skin. The t-shirt soaked in it gave me better control of applying it to his face and around the ears too."

"Can I give my dog a plain borax bath without the peroxide?"

EC: Not for mange. Peroxide is the activating ingredient.

"How long do I do that?"

EC: Please read our extensive article at the top of the page for detailed information about Ted's mange treatment.

"I washed my little chihuahua in it and she's itching more between her shoulders. I'm taking her to the vet tomorrow. I've used medicated shampoo and natural remedies. I'm not even sure it's mites at this point. It's making us both insane."

"Hi Michelle! What did your vet say?

we just did this and our dog seems a bit more itchy. On the video, the lady towel dried her senior dog and that’s what we did as well since it’s so cold here. I’m wondering if I have to leave her sopping wet for 30 minutes."
