ACV for Yeast Infection

Miraculous. Lifesaver. I have had a couple less severe yeast infections in the past that cleared up with OTC clotrimazol or fluconazol (available as an oral tablet in UK pharmacies) after a couple days, but this time had a horrible infection that wouldn't clear with pharmacy medication. Went to gyno who diagnosed BV and yeast infection occurring at the same time, and prescribed antibiotic vaginal pessary x5 days for the BV + fluconazol x2 pills 3 days apart. The treatment cleared up the BV symptoms (awful smell and excessive watery discharge) but the yeast symptoms continued and worsened. For over 8 days I have had unbearable itching, swelling, burning, tenderness and discomfort. Nothing helped and following the dual medication course of treatment, it had gotten even worse. Finally found the ACV cure on this website yesterday morning. I started out soaking a towel/tissue in ACV and pressing this to my vaginal area (as well as a little bit inside vagina) for about 30-60 seconds at a time – this burned like crazy for a couple minutes but provided relief for a few hours. I did it three times throughout the day yesterday but was disappointed it was only alleviating the symptoms and not curing/killing the yeast.

Then last night, I decided to try the soak – I poured a cup of ACV into a basin of hot water and sat in it for only about 5 mins before bed. Woke up this morning feeling 99% cured!!! It's been almost half a day and no more itching or tenderness, just a feeling of dryness that I'm hoping will pass after awhile. Will do the ACV soak once more this evening and feeling confident that I will be finally yeast free! SO THANKFUL for this lifesaving remedy

Apple Cider Vinegar for yeast infection

I used the ACV due to an unbearable feeling of wanting to pull my hair out and scream. ACV immediately stopped the burning and itching. I seem to get itchy around period time but seems more frequent now and it drives my crazy! I noticed that it has happened since I switched my birth control. I had the Mirina and now on pills. I feel like this is a contributing factor.

Warning

It's because you drank it everyday. The ACV is too strong and too acidic for everyday uses. Try using once or twice each week. I witnessed the same problems used for break outs, now I use once a week and have beautiful skin with no yeast infections :)

I don't get frequent yeast infections, but the few I've had have been almost unbearable. Recently I was so miserable and over a weekend no way to see a doctor except the ER. So I looked it up and found Apple Cider Vinegar. I soaked a clean washcloth in very warm water then poured the ACV onto the cloth and placed it between my legs as the yeast was between my legs, and up to the vulva, sorry to be so graphic, but if this can help someone. So be it. In a few minutes the horrible itching stopped and became bearable. I used it over the weekend and saw my Gyn on Minday & got except for Diflucan. Told her about ACV and she said it was great for use just be sure and dilute it. I also get yeast under my breasts and I started using it there too. It works. I've also heard you can dilute and gargle with it for sore throats. I can NOT USE MONISTAT or the normal creams, they are like setting my privates on FIRE but the ACV really worked for me. I'm keeping it from now on for "just in case" emergencies.

Thank God for natural healings! Also, thank God for informative natural healing sites such as this one!! I've got yeast infection about 3-4 times my whole life. I'm 27 as of now. A few days after sex I started feeling very itchy, I hadn't been sexual in so long but it seems like almost every time I have sex with a new person I get BV or YI. I know what they feel like so I was able to diagnose myself. We all know the itchy uncomfortable feeling internally and externally.

DAY 1 TAMPON: Per my research I decided to use ACV.. I tried soaking w/tampon, the way it expanded before entering made it feel uncomfortable inside plus I've always heard tampons are bad so I tossed it! I separated a water ACV mix almost every time I used the bathroom, maybe worked a little, not enough for satisfaction. So I suffered.

DAY 2 AFTERNOON DOUCHE: I've never douched before but I bought Summer's ever, poured solution out and filled 50/50 water and organic ACV while in the shower. It stung for a few seconds then felt so good as it stopped the Itching, only for a few hours as it felt like it got worst after 2 hrs (Not blaming acv) (I'm also drinkin ACV 3x a day) Night time I douched again, also poured the little I didn't get from the douche over my vagina while standing. It felt so much better while in the shower, only 40% better and hr or 2 later. Same day after night time shower I wasn't satisfied still even though a little better.. So I decided to bathe. BATH So I gave up trying to avoid using my roommates bathtub (I only have a shower) and decided to do what I also kept reading works. Hot/warm water bath a little pass my ankles. Poured a little under 16oz of ACV towards my vagina while sitting in. I also added some Himalayan pink salt just because I know salt baths are good. MAN DID I FEEL 99% better while in there for 30 mins, I sat with my legs open in the birth giving position. I actually started writing this while in the tub! Lol :) I've been out for 30 minutes now, I now feel about 80-85% cured, because I'm use to feeling 100 down there 24/7 I maybe being a little sensitive/stingy with the percentage but I could definitely go out if I had to but after that bath and me going through heck all day id rather rest just in case, I'm kind of scared to do anything extra because I'm so at ease at the moment I don't want anything to bring the itchy feeling back tonight!

I'll douche again in the shower tomorrow morning and night, maybe I'll get in the bath again too not sure. I'll definitely drink 2 tablespoons of ACV 3x a day for the next week, after that I'll drink it at least once a day and make it apart of my lifestyle. There's so many other benefits! Thanks for taking the time to read! I'll try to update :)

hat I Wdid was to buy those vaginal showers at the counter and use the embole to fill it with diluted acv. You cn do it 3 times a day. And if the itching is terrible soak a cotton in vinegar and leave it the in the vaginal entrance For a while.

After a few hours it will start itching againg, so repeat the procedure. Good luck

I used to use hydrocortisone cream to treat razor bumps in my bikini area. I found out the hard way that this can result in yeast infections - cortisol is like steroids for yeast! I found myself with my first yeast infection a day or two after applying the hydrocortisone cream.

I mixed up a solution of 50% each water and ACV, dipped a tampon in for a few seconds, then inserted it in my vagina. This burns like no other, but once the burn goes away, the itching is gone completely! Note that this can be drying, so don't leave the tampon in for too long. After inserting the tampon, I would then dip a cotton ball in the solution and clean up the yeast gunk from my labia. I would do this a few times a day, whenever I felt itchiness or had yeast buildup. The yeast infection was gone in less than a week, never to return again.

I also bought some acidophilus tablets and would take the maximum dosage per day, so this might have helped. I did insert one tablet inside my vagina and left it overnight, but it didn't dissolve very well, so I didn't try it again and just stuck with the ACV.

Thank God for this site! I suffer from a number of chronic disorders and recently had to go on a course of antibiotics. This gave me one raging yeast infection, the likes of which I've never had. At one point I was putting cold packs down there in the middle of the night in between bouts of tears because the itching was so intense. I bought a generic Monistat kit, but all it did was give me serious cramps, nausea, and made me so miserable I would have rather sufffered from the flu I'd had! Then I found your site and about how Apple Cider Vinegar might help with my symptoms. I soaked in the bath and that helped stop the itch, but about an hour later I started feeling it again. So I soaked a cotton ball and put it up against my vag. The first minute or so, the burn was crazy, but once it subsided, there was no more itch! I think now that I can finally stop scratching, I'll be able to heal. Thank you SO MUCH for all the advice, I've been miserable for days. Acv is a miracle cure!

Better But With Side Effects

I have been using organic ACV, diluted with water, soaked on a cloth and just held on the affected areas, to treat a yeast infection. I was completey raw and red and itching from my pelvis bone to my tail bone, the ACV helped with that but now my skin is so dry where I applied it, it is flakng and raw..... Has anyone else experienced this, and what did you do to help with the extra dry skin???

Okkkk... Report time. I took acidophilus 2 times during my "treatment" (and plan to continue once every other day)

First night.. Instead of the douche I used a mini turkey baster (my douche).. Added 1 part water (boiled and cooled) to 3 parts ACV.. It BURRNNNEDD!!! ..... BUT! It was not unbearable and after about 2 mins, it stopped and the itching stopped... And when the ACV ran out, ewwwww, cottage cheese that did not smell like me.. I also soaked a tampon in the ACV mix and left it in for about 3 hours, took a cotton ball and patted some of the ACV outside which, u guessed it, burned! I then took a shower and was able to sleep itch free (oh glory).

In the morning, I itched again (arg! ) so I filled my douche (cleaned with warm water) and squirted it up there with the ACV mixture, added what remained to a clean spray bottle and sprayed the outside.. Burn again but bearable.... During the day I saw clumps of discharge that smelled yeasty (and turned slightly green at one point) but experienced less itching

Second night... Did not experince much itching during the day, so I did the douche but not the tampon insert and sprayed the outside.. Burnnned, but lasted less this time... After about 30 mins I took a shower and went to bed.. Less clumpy stuff

In the morning, my discharge was wayyyy less clumpy and almost looked normal (was a bit thick still), so I did a douche and spray again (this is when I found out that ACV makes u dry, yikes! )

Third night.. Small itch during the day.. Did a douche and spray... I was ok for the most part, no itch at all

In the morning, I did a douche & spray

Fourth night... had guests everywhere so I had to put if off..

in the morning, I was itching, so I soaked a tampon in ACV sprayed the outside and left it in for about 1 hour... I dont want to overdo it so I will stop here

The relief is amazing... no itch and frankly the ACV has worked wayyyy better and faster than most of the inserts out there..

Will let u know if I am cured!

After years of dealing with yeast infections, my new midwife said that some women deal with yeast infections consistently, and that some women can have one after every period because of a ph imbalance your period causes. Not all women have the same symptoms and many things may cause a yeast infection for one and not for another.

Here are my personal experiences:

FOOD
I notice a major shift when I start eating more processed foods, and that it lightens or clears when I eat all vegetables and little sugary fruits.

SYMPTOMS
I have never itched or burned, but have always had a discharge and a yeast smell. I have had BV, but I always get YI.

SOLUTION
I keep a spray bottle with diluted tea tree oil and water on the back of the toilet, and when I go to the bathroom, I spritz everything. It feels great and feels clean. Tea tree smells more fresh than spraying Apple Cider Vinegar. I will also insert some of the tea tree/water solution in my vagina and it makes a huge difference.

Supplements
Priobiotics: I started taking a 15 billion non-refrigerated probiotic that I purchased from a large natural and whole foods store. It comes in a pink box. This has been the best probiotic I have ever taken, and I have taken a lot.

Women's Whole Food Multi: I also take a food based whole foods women's multi 2x day (says 3x, I'm doing good just to remember to take 2).

Douche: I am going to try a Tea Tree Oil and/or Apple Cider Vinegar douche to see if I can get more of the root of the problem with the discharge - which is my main problem.

  • 2 Tbls. Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 8 oz. Warm Water
  • Douche 2x day

Perhaps this will help someone too!

So, I was on anti biotics cause of strep, and it ended up giving me a yeast infection. I was so not happy. AFter trying everythinggg I could think of. I finally decided to give this ACV thing a shot. I went a local HEB (super market in Texas) and bought raw ACV. In a small spray bottle, I poured about 1oz of hot water, and 3oz of the ACV. While in the shower, I sprayed my vaginal area until I could feel the ACV dripping down my legs. (my shower smells like vinegar :P) It burned for a few moments, but I already started feeling better. When I got out of the shower, I refilled the bottle because I had used most of it, but no water this time; just the ACV. I soaked a tampon in it and inserted it for about 30 min, and sprayed my vaginal area once more until I could feel it burning. While sitting down, I could actually feel the intense burning from the ACV in my vagina.. Let' sjust saying it really did suck. But after I took it out, I felt tons better. This stuff actually worked. So glad I gave in to it. I'm going to do this for another three days and see how everything works out.

I was on antibiotics for strep thoat. They of course gave me a killer yeast infection. I tried diflucan, which usually works but it didnt this time. I started having to use anti itch creams and finally bought a monistat 1 day ovule and some external cream. The cream would work randomly and I felt like I was always putting it on. 2 days into that cream I had such a burning itch it was unbearable. I decided to finally put in the ovule and still no relief 2 days later. I came to this site and read about using apple cider vinegar and I figured why not try it. I tried it about 2 hours ago, I drank 2 table spoons in water and sat in a bath for a half an hour with a cup of it mixed in. I got the kind from trader joes since the health food stores that sell the completely organic kind are closed on sundays. All I can say is it is a MIRACLE!!!! For the last week I have had to live with cream on 24/7 and still have no relief. I can happily say that I have not itched at all since I drank it and took the bath. Its saying alot because I literally have not had to put any cream on either for this since I took the bath. I hope this keeps working because that was horrible!!!!! I even dabbed a little diluted ACV on the outside, even though it burned a little it feels sooooo much better. I reccomend this if everything else is not working for you!! Wish I would have known about this a week ago!!!

I first stumbled onto EarthClinic about a year and a half ago trying to find what to do about the bumps I get on my scalp, then later for cold sores that popped up. First I want to say: I love it here on EarthClinic! I came back recently to see options on how to treat my bfs case of ringworm from the neighbor's dog, and I came back this time because I seem to have developed a yeast infection. I am sure it started because of my weak immune system combined with meds from surgery(wisdom teeth) or from the doctor/clinic I went to for cold sores that followed my surgery even though I had been maintaining up until then from advice I got on EC. He gave me cream that I reacted to and when it didnt work, he gave me steroids to "possibly" help with healing). Any input here would be greatly appreciated, more specifically input about weak immune systems, meds, & yeast infections. Obviously I completely regretted making the trip to the doctor, AGAIN, and now I am terrified about going back. The visit confirmed my fears and doubts. I do not want to go to the doc for my YI and be prescribed antibiotics or something like it when that could very well be why I got it in the first place. I am sincerely sad about the fact that I have no faith in doctors ability to help me. It also makes me feel weird to feel that way; who am I to say this doctor doesnt know what hes talking about, but the way things are done and decisions are made is just not the way for me. Anyways, sorry for the ranting, the point is I came to EC and ACV had something like 84 yeas, the most of any suggestions. So I picked up the ACV on my shopping trip the next day and stewed on it for a few days, trying to work up the courage to try it. I couldnt stand how irregular my "stuff" was, and the pain and itching was crazy. This is my first YI and I didnt realize something was really wrong until I tried to have sex and it was almost unbearable. By this time I was sure something was wrong and EC confirmed everything else.

Anyways, on to the good news: I finally worked up the courage to try the ACV. I went by the closest pharmacy and bought disposable douches. I have heard in the past that douching is not great for you, so I was still real nervous. Anyhow I got home with 6 disposal douches and squirted the first one in the sink til it was empty. Then I meticulously refilled it with Apple Cider Vinegar and water, about half and half. (there may be other types of douches that refilling will be easier to do, I didnt realize this and bought the disposable because they were cheap) I rinsed off first before douching and douched in the tub. It was a tiny tingly type of burn, not a crazy hot burn, and just for a few seconds, probably not longer than 10. Then I refilled the douche with warm-ish water and rinsed. After I did this I considered waiting longer before rinsing. Maybe if you try it you will want to let the Apple Cider Vinegar set in there a minute before rinsing. So then I rinsed again to not smell of Apple Cider Vinegar and by that time I felt pretty good and positive about it. I had been testing what was in "there" with a tampon and after the douching, the tampon came out clean. I expected this after the douching but was still a little bit excited to see which way this was going to go. At this point I had alot of hope, the itching had subsided, I still had a little pain from inserting the tampon to check. So from here there were either two ways this could go: do the tampon test later and there will either be more weird goop that doesnt smell like me, OR there MIGHT be normal stuff. So of course, like you may have guessed, it was more weird goop, but it was a very tiny amount and this time around I felt confident this was going to work! I did it again the second day with the same results, I feel better, still positive, AND when I did the tampon test the second day I could tell I had less itchiness and less pain from the tampon test.

Today is the third day. I tried the tampon test again today before douching and I did NOT have pain from inserting the tampon( I was excited about this) and I ALMOST feel normal. I know from the tampon test that things are not back to normal yet, but I am confident they might get there if I keep trying. I am going to give it until I run out of douches. I will douche with my shower tonight again and update soon to let you all know if it worked or what recourse I took instead. Wish me luck and good luck with your own experimenting! P. S. Please dont hesitate to ask for more detailed explanations or anything, I just tried to keep it simple. TRIED. Lol. Sorry it is so long. I hope it is of some help.

I am 27, and have had yeast infections several times a year since I started dating my ex. They went away when I stopped dating him, and I'm pretty sure he has a yeast issue himself. I also struggle with fatigue, toenail fungus, anxiety and digestive issues that make me believe my problem is candida. I don't eat processed foods and eat very little sugar or carbs. I wanted to address my other issues, so I started drinking the organic with mother ACV and baking soda combo, 2tbsps ACV with 1/4 teaspoon baking soda, twice a day. Within 3 days I had a raging yeast infection. I cut out the baking soda and maintained the ACV drink and went with 50/50 ACV douches, morning and night. The second morning, it was worse than ever, swollen and painful and itching. Garlic helped stop the itch. In any case, this is the 2nd or 3rd time that drinking ACV has brought on a yeast infection, in my opinion.

Perhaps it would have resolved had I continued, but I'm going camping for 3 weeks and cannot be dealing with this out there. I'll be taking diflucan in the morning. Maybe I'm just not one that can handle it, though it does help when I use it externally and I do think it makes me more regular and more perky. Wish I could do it!

I had a very severe yeast infection after taking antibiotics for a UTI which I believe came from a hot tub. I took a Diflucan after trying Monistat 1 day, it (monistat) did nothing for my infection as far as pain and itching... So, while waiting for the Diflucan to kick in, I still was uncomfortable... Ran across this site, took a bath with ACV and epsom salt about a cup and a half of each, I filled the tub more than half way and the water was pretty warm and soaked for about an hour... NO MORE PAIN OR ITCHING, this is wonderful... I almost can't believe it worked so well. It feels like nothing was ever wrong. I will definetly be taking a tbl spoon of ACV every night from now on, maybe I can avoid these things all together. YAY, oh and while I was in the tub I stood up and poured more ACV between my legs, it burned something awful but when I sat back down in the water it went away, the sensation of the ACV was totally worth it to get rid of the torture of the yeast infection.

I've had a recurrent yeast infection for several weeks now that I believe was brought on by birth control pills (which I have stopped taking about 2 days after developing the infection). I am fairly sure the infection also exists in my bladder (as I have had frequent urination & have been urinating white specks for 2 weeks) and in my bowels as I've been struggling with constipation for over a month (doc says its probably stuck fecal matter). I'm not sure if this is considered general candida overgrowth. I don't have a coated tongue, rashes, or any other symptoms really.

I've been taking organic ACV orally for about 2 weeks (1 tsp in water several times a day, anymore makes me constipated) and applying nondiluted ACV topically (sometimes the organic stuff, usually the regular pasteurized stuff) by holding a soaked cotton ball under my clitoral hood and vaginal opening for 15 seconds each, then wiping the entire vulva and anal area (front to back of course) and holding the cotton ball on my anus for 15 seconds. When it gets really itchy internally, I will soak a few cotton swabs in ACV and insert as far as I can without letting go of the ends and leave in for several minutes (usually this step isn't necessary as the itch occurs mainly outside the vagina; if you can do without this step I recommend it as it tends to dry me out). The burn is not too intense unless I've been rubbing/scratching and lasts only briefly, then the itch subsides completely. This doesn't seem to help the infection itself; however, it does relieve the itch.

Other supplements/remedies I have been using include: 250 mg magnesium oxide 1-3 times daily; 1 tbsp blackstrap molasses in a 10 oz glass mixed with 1. 5 tsp organic ACV and 2 tbsp lemon juice, then topped off with water and taken in the morning before breakfast and sometimes before bed; 1/8 tsp borax and 1 tsp baking soda added to 1 liter of water and sipped throughout the day (if I take too much I get headaches so I usually only drink about 2/3 of this mixture per day. 5 days on & 2 off); daily multivitamin (vegan) most days; 125 mg lithium aspartate (5 mg lithium) in the mornings most days; gingko biloba once or twice daily; silica complex sometimes; 1 tsp psyllium with 20 oz water once a day; 1-2 tbsp ground flax added to food daily; 1 tsp creatine once a day; borax baths about once a week after swimming or when I see visible culture buildup (1/2 cup added to bath water and filled up to hips), acidophilus tablets twice daily after eating. If you would like any additional info about brand names or anything, email me.

I eat an almost vegan diet: no meat or dairy at all, fatty fish occasionally (though not recently), organic local eggs sometimes. Recently my diet has included fast/processed food once or twice a week, but I try to limit my portion sizes and eat veggies daily. I avoid sweets, eat whole grains, and add sea salt to my food when I can (helps cut down the excessive thirst). I exercise regularly (daily stretching and weekly cardio). I'm a healthy weight usually though occasionally I get slightly underweight.

I hope this helps, and I would appreciate any other suggestions if you have them.

For external yeast infections, I put apple cider vinegar in a spray bottle without diluting it. Then, twice a day, I spray the area directly. Yes, it burns initially but then feels so much better. I do this for about 5 days.

I was skeptical about it at first and it weirded me out a little but it made everything feel FANTASTIC in 5 minutes. I soaked a tampon in half ACV half warm water and put it in for about 10 minutes. Then got a clean cloth and wiped around the goods. It burned for a bit right after I tried it but gee willakers do I feel better... My boyfriend is relieved too I finally shut up :)

I had a persistent yeast infection that did not go away after using Monistat, or Diflucan, OR both together. The treatment would clear up the infection for a day or so, then it would return. My doctor told me I needed to see a pelvic specialist. I couldn't get an appointment with a specialist for A MONTH... I thought "well, if I have to wait that long, trying Mom's advice can't hurt. " (My mom grew up poor in rural Georgia where "folk" medicine was all the medicine most people could afford.)

I poured out half a cup of unfiltered organic apple cider vinegar and added a little bit of warm water. I was having internal and external itching and dryness, varying amounts of discharge (from "a little" to "buckets"), and a LOT of yeasty smell.

Day 1: Soaked two Q-tips in the ACV for a couple of minutes, then put them in my vagina and kept them there for 5-6 minutes. It BURNED LIKE CRAZY for about 90 seconds, then I felt... Nothing. No burning, no itching, nothing! I took those out and then used the ACV to wet a paper towel and wiped everything external (note that I trim my pubic hair pretty closely, you might need to use more ACV than 1/2 cup if you don't). Again -- burning for a little while, then nothing! The itching was gone all day, the discharge stopped after a couple of hours, and all that was left was a little bit of the smell.

Day 2: The smell had become a little worse and the external itching had come back a little bit. I repeated the same process. This time, NO burning internally, and only a little burning externally. The smell and itching went away again.

Day 3: A little bit of the smell had come back. I repeated the whole process one more time, and I've been INFECTION FREE ever since!

I am pregnant and have had an itching/burning sensation in the vagina for the past 3 days. I couldn't do anything internally for it due to pregnancy, so I bought some external vaginal wash for pH balance and some vaginal itch relief cream. That didn't work whatsoever! I was starting to lose a lot of sleep due to the discomfort, wouldn't have sex with my husband, and tonight has just been unbearable! I tried the Apple Cider Vinegar for the first time (half water, half ACV soaked rag left on my parts for a good 5 minutes) and it burned but I had instant relief! I then poured my leftover homemade remedy over my parts and omg did it burn like hell!!!! But after I patted dry and the burning stopped, no itching or discomfort whatsoever!!! I plan on doing this everyday for the next week or so, it really works!!!!!

    ACV WORKS WONDERS.

My first YI and one of the most uncomfortable vaginal experiences of my life!!! I took a one time otc oral product. The itching, burning misery continued and my vagina remain swollen and miserable. I read the threads on this site and decided I must at least try acv.

I bought Apple Cider Vinegar pills and pure Apple Cider Vinegar made by Heindz. The pills I've taken once, so odds are most of my relief came from dipping a tampon in half and half vinegar and warm water and inserted it for about 30mins. I also dabbed the solution on my vulva.

It burns/stings for about 3 mins. BUT within 15 mins TOTAL RELIEF!!!!! No burning, no itching AND I no longer have that gross YI discharge. My vagina is no longer swollen and it's, by all accounts looking and feeling like normal.

Please don't wait to try this, the sooner the better.

Ok, I have been on Antibiotics for 2 weeks due to a severe kidney infection. So needless to say I got a YI from Hell!! Burning, itching, discharge, it is a hot mess! Well after reading this site I decided to try ACV. So tonight I got a clean washcloth and soaked it in ACV and water (half and half) and gently wiped the external areas. Then I dipped a tampon (which I had to borrow from a friend because I don't use tampons) in the ACV mixture and inserted it for 15 minutes. It stung a little bit, as soon as I removed the tampon I wiped the area again and now only 20 minutes later I feel so much better!!! I can't wait to do it again in the morning! It was actually refreshing after the slight sting was gone. I highly reccomend it!

Okay so far symptoms are relieved... But holy mother - whoever said this treatment burns but it's not unbearable- you are a champion! . It took about 10 full seconds for my brain to register the searing pain and once that happened all I could do was curse through my clenched teeth and pray for it to end$&@! $&&. It took almost 25 min before I felt like I could move. Holy hell. Again so far so good but... I am really not sure I would do it Again.

I have been suffering with vaginal irritation for over 10 weeks. Went to the doctor before Thanksgiving and it was determined as BV not YI, however, then the antibiotic charged up a massive YI. I tried the Apple Cider Vinegar douche, Apple Cider Vinegar drink and acidophilus this evening. I do feel some external relief but I am still itching inside rather badly. Will do this again in the morning. Hoping for the best. Thanks so much for this site.

I was so excited to come across this site when I was looking for alternative cures for a YI. Sadly, the ACV did not work at all. My symptoms have progressed into a full blown YI, so I had to give in and buy Monistat. I tried the ACV spritz, and the bath along with acidophilus pills when the symptoms started. Now I'm in for the long haul. I wish you all luck out there. YI's are not fun at all :(
