I think my previous post was cut by the admin due to mentioning too many brands. So I will try one more time without mentioning brands. I used a toothpaste with HAP and in few months some dark area in my tooth root from black due to carries, turned into white.
In Japan for many years they use HAP instead of Fluoride in their toopastes. There are also HAP capsules for systemic consnamption.
97% of adamantine and 70% of dentine is made of HAP.
I had a black area on the tooth near the gumline and in the root of the tooth. Firsty I tried to scrape it off with a dental probe but I couldn't remove it. Then I realized that this black area wasn't calculus painted black from gum hemorrhage, but decay in the root.
I used the known Japanese toothpaste Apag... for a few months and this black area reminerilized and turned white. Only a small part deeply in the root remains still black where the toothbrush is hard to reach. I have also tried another hydroxyapatite toothpaste without success. The Japanese one has nano-HAP. I used it in combination with a truly ultrasonic electric toothbrush (Megaso....) and this may helped sending the nano- HAP even deeper in the tooth enamel.
Japan has a history using nano-HAP instead of Fluride, to reminerilize teeth.
A photo before using nano-HAP.

If I find time I will post an after photo of my tooth.
