Hah! I use Listerine every day, and still got a white coating. It's most likely thrush, caused by chemo. Yea side effects!

Listerine mouthwash (antiseptic) really helps clean up your tongue. Just slowly swish it in your mouth and continue even if it burns. After the burn is unbearable or stops, then spit it in the sink. After three rinses my tongue was less white.
