For about a month and a half I had a rash that started mysteriously around Xmas, and I wasn't sure what it was or how I got it. At first it started as bumps then the bumps turned into rings... And then I knew it was ringworm. And it covered my arms, torso, and legs. Pretty much I was devestated. The first rememdy of coconut oil and lavendar oil didn't do too much. It seemed to dry out the parts of the rash which wasn't but didn't do too much to help kill it. I then went on to use Lotrimin which was fine, but something told me to search for more. I then found this site and saw the information on Menthol and Wormwood Oil ... Needless to say its been a day and I'm already seeing results as well as using tea tree oil on the affected areas. I'm amazed this is working so well, plus it seems to help with the itching which has been a huge bane. THANK YOU For this information. Ringworm on this level is very harsh to deal with and effects self esteem... I'm very certain this method will kill this issue. :)

Hi- I have to share this -because my ringworm was horrible! For over 6 months I thought I had eczema on my knee and little finger. I bought every over the counter treatment for eczema. It kept getting worse! It was weepy & creepy & UGLY

I have no insurance - so no Doctor... I figured why spend $$$$ to cure what is probably a simple problem.. After the months rolled by I was scared and it was worse- the patch on my little finger now wrapped around it and was near the nail.. The patch on the side of my knee was about the size of a tangerine... I actually thought about going to a Doc. But instead I went and asked a pharmacist.. "it's an ugly fungus" buy Lamisil isle 24.. I bought it and NOTHING!!! After a week I was panicking!

Desperate I found this website- I used a combination of Absorbine Jr and Tinactin DRY jock itch spray (friend suggestion). I was helping with a construction job this summer so between the sweat, dirt, and sawdust I always stayed wet- so wrapping my finger was out of the question. And my skin just hurt.

I began to treat myself 2 to 4 times a day--I really enjoyed the Absorbine Jr burn- I pressed cotton balls of it on my ringworm. (I did not contaminate the bottle)- I would let it dry and spray on a thick cool layer of Tinactin- at night I would use fresh guaze... so my bed would not be contaminated, and washed my sheets every other day.

It is about 6 weeks since I began and I have a tiny patch on the web between my fingers- My leg is discolored where it was but no longer burns...

I have gone through 3 bottles of Absorbine and 2 Tinactin. I am going to continue it for at least another bottle and can of each.... Because I never want to go through that again! Thanks!

My son had been suffering from ringworm for about a month and it seemed anything that we tried didn't make a dent. With him being right in the middle of football season we were afraid it might cost him a good part of the season. After doctor visits and prescriptions not working we were losing hope. I then stumbled over this website talking about Absorbine Jr. curing ringworm. After reading other testimonials I thought it worth a try. Let me tell you it is amazing! Why doctors don't recommend this is beyond me. In about a weeks time he is a thousand times better. Be warned it does burn like a mother when it is applied but it works! Don't waste time with other treatments, this is it!

I never really post on forums but earthclinic has saved me a lot. Absorbine jr does work, it takes away the intense itching. I had ringworm before on my face. It lasted 6 months and it was scaley, patchy and spreading like fire. This time it had tiny little rings with the same symptoms. I had put some antiseptic on it and it literally gave me a chemical burn on my face. This scabbed over but I was itching underneath and could feel the fungus growing intensely. Due to my scab, I had no other choice but to try to swab some black walnut tincture over it and then applied new skin liquid bandaid. LIFE SAVER, the bandaid helped the fungus from spreading and stopped the itch. I applied this for 3 days after the bandaid peeled off in some areas, it was itching again, the fungus was mad. No creams or medications helped so I was desperate, I had been adding black walnut Hull capsules to heal internally as well. Where the bandaid peeled off, I applied asborbine jr. It helps a lot but after an hour it comes right back and itches.

Finally I just threw some comet or ajax after I swiped with the absorbine jr where it was still moist. This kept the comet ajax on, and believe it or not, I have not had itching for over 5 hrs. I feel that its actually healing. I know comet ajax is dangerous but after months of prior ringworm, I was not going to go through half a year couped in my house so I don't spread it to others. The absorbine jr and ajax comet has been the best remedy for me as it seems to kill the fungus immediately. I will update in a few days. Also remember, I had scabs over the ringworm making this all very difficult to treat!

I returned from Mexico with what I think is a bad case of ringworm. I tried using hydracortisone cream as the pharmacist told me my marks were insect bites. A day later there were more spots and the cortisone did nothing for the itch. I went to 3 other pharmacy's & no one could tell me what the marks were or how to treat them, I sent a photo to a friend who thought it was ringworm. I went back to the pharmacy and they gave clotrimazole. I used this for one day and saw the post on Absorine Jr. I have used nearly a entire bottle today after applying it four times as I have so many spots. All the original spots seem to be drying up and not looking as red which is great. I am concerned though that I seem to be having new lesions coming up every time I went to apply another round of Absorbine today. Can anyone please tell me if they had the same thing happen. Why am I still getting new outbreaks. I have washed all clothing, bedding and towels today in clorox and have been using plastic gloves to apply Absorbine an paper towel to dry my hands after washing them. Thanks

Amazingly, Absorbine Jr. Worked for the itch at night so I could sleep. It's the acetone in the product that burns. Not sure if it kills enough topically of the fungus. The other ingredients may help as well.

I started a threefold attack on the ringworm to make sure. (1) Morning - apply Oregano oil with Tea tree oil. This will sting and cause discomfort. When the discomfort subsides... (2) Noon - apply liquid clorox bleach to the affected areas. Also will burn. (3) Before bed - apply Absorbine Jr. Liberally to affected areas. Burns for a few, but itch goes away.

When you notice affected areas healing or looking better apply Castor oil with Q-tip.

Make sure you wash all undergarments in hot water with clorox bleach. Throw away old ones.

Do the same treatment for your feet and toes. I think this is where ringworm spread from in my case.

One vicious ringworm infection, three months & three trips to the doctor, including one emergency room visit; a near break-up from my fiance because I was convinced his dirty bathroom gave me the fungus to begin with so I gave him a serious dressing-down. Two-thousand-dollars worth of useless doctors & their useless medicine and the infection was spreading to over one-third of my body. It was a gram positive Ringworm fungal infection that simply wouldn't die. ALL forms of treatment, including tea-tree, bleach, alcohol, OTC creams, cortisone and a host of prescriptions did not work. And to think the ringworm started as little dime-sized circles! I was ready to dip my body in nuclear acid if it would help. Then one day, I was crying about it and skulking around on the web for natural solutions. God smiled on me that day. I stumbled across Earth Clinic and the Absorbine cure. Of course I ran out an bought some right away. It burned like a #@! And I thought the pain would kill me. But low and behold... Within 4 hours... Yes... 4 hours... The angry red infection subsided at least 50%. The next day, it was even better. This is day 2 and ALL of the infection is responding nicely. It is putting up a fight, but it's losing. OMG!! I have had ringworm for over six months, I have tried glycolic acid lotion, pine tar soap, Retin A cream, apple cider vinegar, coconut oil, Miconozole Nitrate, tea tree oil, pimple cream with salicylic acid, calamine lotion, cortisone cream. All of these either didn't work or made it more inflamed and itchier. Then I tried Absorbine Jr. Hallelujah, it has done more in 12 hours to dried it up and take the redness away than anything I have tried. If you have ringworm, go to a drugstore immediately and buy this. It is literally a miracle cure. I wish I had known about Absorbine Jr. earlier. Thank you Earth Clinic.

After dealing with recurring ringworm for 15 years, it came back with a vengeance this past week. Holy cow, it was spreading like crazy from behind one ear, across the back of my neck, onto my scalp, and to the other ear. I was mortified - I looked like a leper! None of my old standbys were working (Selsun Blue, Lamisil, and various other OTC antifungals) and it was just spreading more and more. So thanks to this site, I discovered Absorbine and although it hurts like hell, it's working! I applied it 5 times yesterday and this morning ALL the areas are dried up and swabbing over. I've applied it 4 more tomes today and I can tell its healing. Absorbine is AMAZING! Hopefully it doesn't come back but if it does, I have my Absorbine arsenal.

Warning

DO NOT rub absorbane jr over large amounts of your body! A teenage died from doing that! Your skin absorbs it and you overdose and DIE!!!! Look up info on it for yourself.

Thank God For Absorbine Jr. This is my first time having ring worm. I have a quarter size patch on my left arm, near my elbow. It was very itchy and red. I came across this website, went to CVS and purchased Absorbine Jr. On my break. I cleansed the area with a baby wipe and applied the Absorbine with a cotton ball. I then held it in place until the tingling subsided. I am now back at work, the itchiness has stopped and the redness has calmed to a pink. After one application I am confident that this will work. I thank God and can now finish work and know I'm on my way to healing. Thanks earth clinic!!!!

I had a spot of ringworm on my inner thigh in the groin area that I treated with CVS brand lamisil for a month. It went away and came back. I kept applying the cream twice a day for two months or more, and it never went away. Then I saw another spot on my left leg. When I switched to another cream, it got angry and more red and larger. Then I got desperate, imagining this nasty stuff spreading like wildfire.

I have been using absorbine Jr. four times a day for almost 2 weeks now. There was a lot of flaking and scaling within the first week, and the burning was fierce on the raw areas. But now on day 12, things are looking 70% better. I hope with another week of treatment it should be gone. In researching ringworm, I am making sure to cover it lightly with bandages so it can breathe but not spread. Also, I am only wearing pants one day and washing all of my bottoms separately from tops etc with Borax and clorox for colors, along with my regular detergent so this stuff doesn't infect me elsewhere. Yuck.

We have been dealing with a case of ringworm recently. I searched here on Earth Clinic to find remedies, which is what I do for all ailments we experience, human AND pet. The posts about the success had when using Absorbine, Jr prompted me to purchase a bottle, hoping it would bring relief. When I looked at the inactive ingredients, I realized why this product works so wonderfully for ringworm. Calendula, Echinacea, and Wormwood are three of the ingredients! Calendula is good for the skin and has healing properties, Echinacea is a natural antibiotic (externally and internally) and supports the immune system, and Wormwood is an anti-fungal (it's a very good vermifuge, or worm-expeller, for animals). I just thought I would share where I believe the secret of the success of this product. It sure has helped us!

Absorbine Jr. Worked for me when all other remedies failed. I was dealing with ringworm on my thigh for over a month. Tinactin, and all other OTC anti fungal cures proved totally ineffective.

My girlfriend got me started on lavendar oil, but that did not seem to work either. This website showed absorbine Jr. as a possible cure so I drove over to CVS and picked some up.

It took about 4 days to completely irradicate the ringworm. I am so thankful for this suggestion. Earthclinic rocks.

This thing worked in two days. I applied some on a Wed night and continued periodically applying until Thurs night. Friday morning, after my shower, the dark brown spots on my face pealed off, leaving a light pink skin underneath. I didn't apply on Fri. or Sat. because I didnt want it to get dark again and I had to go to a wedding. But by Sunday morning the pink area was gone and I had no flakes or itching. I can't say for sure if it was ringworm of psoriasis or something else but Absorbine cured it in less than 2 days. I love this site. I hope this helps others who find themselves desparate for a cure. last summer it took me 3 months to get rid of my ringworm....tried everything - i had 7 spots on my arm. This year i have gotten a large spot on the palm of my hand. I am diabetic and always are concern about infections.... Bleach, vinegar, anti fungal meds nothing was changing it this year, it just keep growing. bleach did do the trick last year but that took 3 months of constant care and bleaching. I saw the absorbine jr post ordered it immediately....i have been using only it non stop for about 5 days, every days it looks better....this is the best cure of ringworm - thank you for doing this post. I am a dairy farmer so we are going to try this on a 4-H calves if they get ringworm in the next month so they do not have it when fair times comes.........thank you so much for posting this....

Better But With Side Effects

I have been dealing with a skin condition since last October, it went crazy 10 days after I had some amalgm filling removed. At first it was not ring shaped just large crusty lesions that were itchy, raised patches of red skin. It quickly spread from one leg to the other then both my arms. It finally came up round and ringed in a few places then I knew it was ringworm. I finally read on Earth Clinic about the Absorbine treatment, yea finally it is starting to dry up. I have used it for several days, three times a day. My skin seems to be cracking open some and I am concerned. I put natural lotions on and it does itch some for a while them calms down. Does anyone have an idea what I can use to moisturize my skin that won't start up the ringworm again. Does anyone have scarring for the lesions? I am worried about this. I tried Aloe Vera gel and that was a huge mistake, I was in great pain for about 18hrs, untill I went to the store for Absorbine Jr.

My "rash" started out on my left foot in 2003 after spending time in a dorm setting. Later, I got the same looking rash underneath my watch band. I have been to numerous doctors for this "rash". One told me it was because of my watch band & sweating so I quit wearing the watch for a long time, but it didn't clear up any. I have tried Tinactin & numerous other athlete's foot products because I was told the "rash" on my foot was athlete's foot. It was weird because the rash has been just on the left side of my body, until recently, when it has migrated to my groin area. I was told it was eczema & given several different types of medications & tried many home remedy type treatments, without success. Other doctors have told me it is psoriasis...and have treated it as such. All the while, the "rash" has gotten significantly worse, driving me into seclusion & getting me thrown out of physical therapy today because the therapist insisted it was RINGWORM! Well, I had seen this site a few days ago & sent my wife to get some Absorbine Junior ...this stuff burns like wild fire & so far, I haven't seen much, if any, difference since starting it (AJ) 3 days ago & having used all but about a 1/2 oz of a 4 oz bottle in those 3 days! Today, the doctor finally said, "yes, I believe it IS ringworm" & he gave me yet another medication (oral) called Ketoconazole 200mg tabs. He said they were pretty wicked & should take care of the ringworm once & for all. I have to go tomorrow to get a blood test to check my liver function so he can monitor my liver function during treatment.

I was so excited to hear about everyone using the AJ but so disappointed that it hasn't worked for me!

I had some kind of fungal infection, which might have been jock itch. I read women can get it too. The itching was just awful, night and day, and my skin was getting gray and hard. I tried everything to get rid of it, from hydrogen peroxide, rubbing alcohol, and Pau D'Arco to athlete's foot creams from the store. Tea trea oil seemed to work great at first, because it made my skin peel off, but in the end it just drove the infection deeper and the itching began to get worse. Sleep deprivation and not having time to shower also made it noticeably worse. Then I started showering every day and spraying on Apple Cider Vinegar and getting enough sleep, and it started to get a little better. Then I saw, here on Earth Clinic, about Absorbine. I had to order it, because my CVS didn't have it. Absorbine Jr. is an absolute miracle!! Complete relief from the itching--I cannot explain how good it feels to have no itching for the first time in a long, long time. And now my skin is healing, and I can go longer without applying it. Thankyou to the people who posted and to Earth Clinic for helping me to find a cure!

I have had reoccuring problems with ringworm for about 28 years, when I contracted it overseas in the military. For anyone who has ever had problems with ringworm, you know how irrating the itching and how fast the fungus can spread on your skin where areas stay warm and moist.

After using various antifungal creams off and on for many years, the ringworm would come back, and in the summer time, it would come back with a vengance.

Thank God I happened to find this website that suggested using Absorbine Jr. to address the spreading skin infection.

For the last week, I had a strong outbreak of ringworm in my groin area, and I guess I scratched it, and it got infected and started creating a hard mass under teh skin that was very painful and for obvious reasons, concerned me greatly. After reading several of your wonderful comments of using Absorbine Jr. to stop the ringworm spread, I went to my local CVS store and bought a bottle of the regular liquid with the sponge applicator on top.
I was amazed after applying the liquid on the affected areas, that the itch immediately went away, and within a couple of hours, I could actually see the angry red areas start to return back to the normal skin color.

The Absorbine Jr. did burn a bit on several areas that were pretty raw, but after fanning the area with a newspaper, the burning went away, as did the constant itching that I have had to endure for all these years.

The infected painful mass that was brewing under the skin also was smaller and the skin starting to return to normal color the next morning when I woke up, so with regular applications of this wonderful Absorbine Jr., I think I finally have located a product that will help me be more comfortable in the future. I am grateful for all the wonderful people who shared their experiences because as I type this sitting in my recliner at home, for the first time in about 28 years, I am not itching.

I just came down with some ringworm spots around my armpits about a week ago after not having it for about 10 years. I tried alcohol, peroxide, tea tree oil and apple cider vinegar and none of them did anything. It actually spread when I used some lamisil antifungal cream. It started to itch like crazy yesterday and I had to do something quick so I bought some Absorbine Jr from CVS for $9.84. I bought it this morning and put a qucik dab of it on each ringworm spot and it burned like h#$* for the first couple of seconds but then the itching soon stopped. It's been about 5 hours since then and I can see the difference already! It hasn't itched since I put it on and it is already clearing up! This thing is really working. Anyone with ringworm must use this!!

Absorbine Jr for Ringworm: Tried ACV, Tea Tree Oil and H202 as often as possible. Up to 5 times a day on each spot. Took away the itch, but didn't seem to be getting rid of them at an efficient pace. I made the thirty minute trip to get Absorbine Jr. and I'M GLAD I DID! I put it on at least twice a day. Once in the morning and once at night. I do it more often when time allows. A few of the spots have completely vanished. The rest are fading. Earth Clinic came through yet again.

I had a spot of ringworm on the back of my hand, and tried treating it first with black walnut extract, which seemed to make it redder and incubate it more than anything. I then read about tea tree oil and tried that, applying it 3-4 times a day for a week and a half. This seemed to dry out the whole area, killing everything and seeming to take care of the ringworm. If I kept applying it, it seemed like the skin underneath would never heal so I lessened my applications down to 1 or none each day, and as the skin came back to life, it appeared as though the ringworm was rejuvenating as well, and not only that, but was now getting larger. I reverted to black walnut extract, which I'd forgotten hadn't really worked the first time, and had the same effect (seemingly spreading/incubating the fungus). I was getting a little frustrated after 2 weeks and no effects, so I tried ACV and wrapping the ringworm in garlic under a bandage for a night--in the morning it was as red as ever. Read about Absorbine Jr. on this website and got some from the pharmacy 1st thing in the morning. 4 applications a day for two days, it's now day three, and I don't want to be too optimistic but the spot is barely visible any longer and the ringworm appears to be dying out completely. There was noticeable improvement just within the first 12 hours after the first application, and each day I see progressive improvement, and no major skin death/drying out as with the tea tree oil.

Absorbine Jr. appears to be the cure my ringworm was asking for, and at $9 a bottle, well worth it. Thanks, Earth Clinic, for pointing me toward this.

(If for any reason this fails and the ringworm comes back within the next few days, I'll report back)

After 3 long years of pain, embarrassment and discomfort, I am happy to report that something finally worked for the ringworm that I had on my hand/wrist area. I have tried countless remedies (H2O2, turmeric, tea tree, clove, neem, lavender, oregano and other essential oils, etc.) I also tried over the counter, as well as doctor prescribed medications all with little to no improvement. I was told that my lack of success may be due to the fact that the treatments that I attempted were for things other than fungi, which is essentially what ringworm is, a fungus. I used Absorbine Jr. Original Formula (which seems to be different than other versions of the product), which is regularly used to treat athlete's foot itch, insect bites, etc. I had immediate relief and within a few hours, I could not believe my eyes as to the healing/improvement that took place. This is truly amazing: I can hardly see where the ringworm was before. Thank you very much Earth Clinic, I love you!

I have used Absorbine Jr.for years to kill ringworms. Usually only one application does the trick. I think the longest time frame that it has ever taken to get rid of a ringworm has been about 24 hours. This remedy was passed to me by my mother who used it for years on the cat and me. When the cat would get a ringworm, if he saw the bottle of Absorbine Jr. coming, oh my stars and garters, the kitty cat rodeo was on. But to no avail my mother would win, the cat would get treated, and the ringworm would die.
