It works! I used diaper cream on it at night for a few nights and it's pretty much completely gone, I'm so happy.
I want to mention that zinc oxide works for hemorrhoids too... I used to get small ones now and then and applying some zinc powder mixed with witch hazel always made them disappear/zero symptoms within a couple of days.

Ivermectin & Zinc Paste for Perioral Dermatitis

I developed PD in May of this year. Thinking it was a reaction to some skin care products. But every thing I tried never did a thing for the red shiny pustules. They would just move from one area on my chin, to beside my nose and back again. I had tried ALL the top things listed but finally ran across a video of a woman who used Ivermectin to cure hers. I have had tremendous healing with that and zinc paste on my face at night. I am currently using 1-12mg pill every other day, I will see how that works for one week and then go down to one time per week. Zinc paste at night and Calendula oil in the morning. Seems to be working great so far! I would also use Jane Iredale powder for coverage when I had to go to a meeting etc without any issues.

Pregnant With Perioral Dermatitis - ACV Not Working
Rachel (Bentonville, AR) on 02/27/2023
I have been struggling with the rash for the past two months. At first, I wasn’t sure what it was. Being as I am 21 weeks pregnant. I thought it was just relentless pimples. However, it hit its worst about two weeks ago and has taken over my whole chin. So I went to a derm. They of course prescribed anti-biopics but I cannot taken those due to pregnancy. After being diagnosed with POD. I started doing my research after zero help from the derm and found this site. I started my combination treatment of POD right away. Of cutting out gluten, added sugar, dairy. Adding 1 tbps of ACV to smoothies daily, using a half water half ACV mix 3-5 times a day with coconut oil once or twice daily. It’s been a little over a week, I felt like I initially saw improvement with some of the bumps pushing out the little white spots right away and then flaking off. However, now it feels like the rash has spread up my face and I’m seeing way more of those white bumps and flaking. But doesn’t appear to be much better. Does anyone else have experience with POD and being pregnant? Is that a factor in this and why I am not healing? Am I doomed to have this until birth? Or should I keep going with the ACV treatment?
Best Supplements For Perioral Dermatitis (PD)?
Georgina (Georgia ) on 01/23/2023
With that in mind, I wanted to inquire which one of the supplements below you've taken that you believe has had the best effect at helping get rid of this rash. If you've used it, would love to know what brand + dosage you've taken.
Again, I understand none of us are doctors, we all are different and we need to take all advice/suggestions with caution and care. But I am really trying to heal this naturally and narrow down on the number of supplements I use/buy and would love to hear from others first before jumping the gun on any one of these.
1. Blackseed Oil Supplement
2. Probiotic (I just ran out of mine, I don't know if the brand I was taking made any significant difference)
3. Candida Support Supplement
4. Evening Primrose Supplement
5. Flax Seed Supplement
6. Chlorophyll Supplement
7. Oil of Oregano Supplement (just ran out, don't think it made much of a difference)
8. Burdock Root Supplement
9. Grapefruit Seed Extract Supplement (Not to be confused with Grape Seed, apparently they are two different things).
*Note: I was going to buy these at first based on the reviews but then I found out that the NutriBiotic brand contains an ingredient called benzalkonium chloride, which apparently is found in hand sanitizer and allegedly dangerous for consumption. I don't know how legitimate these claims are, but it was enough for me to hesitate to order. https://bubbleandbee.com/the-honey/...
The following supplements I’ve been taking orally since the new year are: 15g of Zinc, omega 3-6-9 fish oil, and turmeric. I just stopped taking vitamin d3, as I think it's breaking me out worse.
Bleach Water for Perioral Dermatitis
Doing My Best (SD) on 07/17/2022
After 2 weeks of twice daily cotton ball wipe of 10% bleach water (maybe 20%, I just splash a bit of bleach in distilled water in a plastic covered container), my face is noticeably better. The lumps are diminishing, along with the redness. I still get a few pustules here and there, not 5 new ones daily like before. My skin can take this harsh treatment since my oil production is through the roof, so may not be for everyone out there. I do not rinse it off, nor will I use it close to my eyes. I will continue this protocol for at least a total 2 month time frame to give it a fair shot.

Warning
I spent about two weeks drinking lots and lots of green tea, thinking it would do good for my skin. I've always had PD, but that week it started spreading rapidly to underneath my eyes. I looked into green tea because it was the only thing I had been doing differently and it turns out green and black tea have very high levels of fluoride! Probably ok to drink every once in a while, but my PD definitely reacts pretty quickly to them.

We all know those are bad for the body and dont work long term so I tried several natural things that only made the POD rage. I was in tears just last night, praying so hard for guidance. I was led to this page! I'm so very thankful for everyone sharing on this topic. As tired as I was, I got out of bed and starting making mixtures of GSE to put on my face and to drink. I mixed 20 drops with 1TBSP of distilled water and put in a clean dropper bottle. I put drops on a cotton ball or qtip and dab on affected areas. I am also drinking 4oz of distilled water with 33 drops of GSE 4 times a day. I concocted a facewash so I wouldn't have to use moisturizer (i dont wear makeup) so I could let this stuff dry out, peel and heal. I just mixed up some organic coconut flour, Himalayan salt, organic acv, fresh lemon juice, about 50 drops of GSE and distilled water. To my surprise, it worked more than beautifully! My face after just one dose of these things at 11pm last night is 85% better today with no bumps, itch or fire! I'm so darn excited to see how this plays out going forward.
Thank you for this post and for the comments. We can beat this stuff guys! GSE is the answer to my prayers! Take care!! â¡

Vitamin A, GABA for Perioral Dermatitis
Madeline (Austin, Tx) on 12/07/2018
I've been struggling with perioral dermatitis (PD) on again/off again for years.
I've recently started supplementing with *MICELLIZED* Vitamin A daily (dosage will vary depending on which kind you buy, don't overdo it as you can create toxic levels of Vitamin A build-up in your body. Do your own homework and get professional medical advice if you're unsure) and that is the first thing that seems to actually help heal the PD.
Also, I started taking Pharma GABA to help me with stress management and sleep hygiene and, to my my surprise, I think it has also helped treat the perioral dermatitis. This has me wondering if there is, in deed, a hormonal component to PD.
Best of luck to anyone dealing with this. I feel your pain but I'm hopeful that I'll figure it out and have my face back to normal again.
Apple Cider Vinegar for Perioral Dermatitis
Amanda (Melbourne, Victoria) on 11/22/2018
I used ACV yesterday for the first time after years of never trying this, and in the same day I noticed that the redness and swelling went down a little (and the skin dried out). I did 50/50 ACV/water. Today is day 2 of this (and no antibiotics) and already it seems to be better - not perfect but certainly a little less red and perhaps less bumpy.
Really hoping things continue this way!! I've always been very skeptical of this whole ACV thing but so far it's doing well..

Silver Gel for Perioral Dermatitis
Margaret (Mi) on 11/04/2018
I think silver gel might be a more effective method for skin conditions than colloidal silver spray because it is supposed to last up to 3 days per application and definitely keeps the skin hydrated, which a cs spray does not. Hope this helps someone!
Apple Cider Vinegar for Perioral Dermatitis
The Guy (Europe) on 10/24/2018
This is it. This has worked for me the last 10 years, whenever I feel a breakout is coming.
1. Buy Apple Cider Vinegar (Always buy with "mother" in it - very important).
2. Dilute 1 part ACV 2 parts water (If your skin can handle it, move on to half/half). Mix in a in a small dispenser with a spray nozzle. Put it in the fridge, so it is cool when you use it. Not necessary, but it feels better and is way easier to use:)
3. Use minimum 2 times a day, morning and night after. I use it 4-6 time a day because my skin can handle it. I just keep the little dispenser with me and spray throughout the day.
4. STICK to it! This won't work in a day or 2. Mine takes about a week to 10 days. But slowly it goes away and begins to dry up.
5. Do not touch or use any other products to aggravate the rash. None.
6. Moisturizing is optional - u have to figure out what works for you. I personally do not moisturize at night, because the PD dries up faster for me this way. If you must moisturize, only use natural remedies like coconut oil.
Thats it.
Give it a try - it has saved my life completely!
Distilled Water Cleansing for Perioral Dermatitis
Diane (New Brunswick) on 06/27/2018
I googled and tried many natural remedies which did not work, some of which frankly made things worse. ( apple cider vinegar, coconut oil, essential oils, manuka honey, colloidal silver etc) . Meanwhile, the rash kept spreading.
Finally, I decided to try the zero therapy approach which I saw on google. No cleansers, no moisturizer, no makeup. Just wash with water. Dermatitis was completely healed after about a month on this method. I am still doing it 5 years later and I love how my skin feels and looks. ( I am 42).
At night, I put distilled water in a little bowl and used 3 cotton pads to clean my face. Pat dry with a clean towel. That's it. In the morning, I would clean my eyes with tap water on a face cloth, but no water on the rest of the face. If I had to go to work and the flakes were too bad, I would use one drop of jojoba oil to sort of glue the flakes in place. That's it.
I went all out and drastically reduced all my other body products as well. I bought natural stuff for the ones I could not do without. ( SLS free shampoo and conditioner, natural toothpaste with no fluoride, natural body soap, and lip balm). Jojoba oil here and there as needed.
I learned I don't need beauty products to be pretty. My skin can take care of itself. My face is healthier and happier when I leave it alone.
