i've found a great way to relieve sore muscles in my neck and shoulders!you just take a cotton sock and put some raw rice in it - and sew or tie off the other end - then put it either in the freezer for cold packs or in the microwave for a couple of minutes for warm moist heat packs.
then you drape it around your neck! works great!
of course you can also use flax seeds, buckwheat seeds, etc. - but as most people have rice around - this is easy to make in a hurry!
corn works too!
