Re: Apple Cider Vinegar Helping Swollen Nodes

Hi, about a month ago I developed a swollen lymph infection and was prescribed 7 day antibiotic pill pack but it did not work. Then it went away however it moved to my front collar bone area and have a lump there. Yes, I was freaking out too because it is very different from other sicknesses. I tried Acupuncture 3 times and was told my lymphatic system is unbalanced and not functioning properly because all my lymph nodes in legs were affected as well and very painful to touch.

2 days ago I started hot apple cider vinegar w/local honey and I have noticed improvement. The lump went down a bit. I am hoping it lasts and never comes back but I have also been ordered by the doctor to completely change my diet as well and so I have. I cannot afford to be sick like that. I hope you are feeling better.

Lymph Node Soreness

What helped me most was applying organic castor oil with some DMSO externally on the area of my neck that was hurting so bad. I then went and did rebounding on my mini trampoline...gently but firm bouncing, my feet remained on the trampoline at all times. It made the knife stabbing pain and throbbing go away within minutes!! Until then, I'd been up all night sitting on the side of the bed in pain and unable to sleep...God is good?

Castor Oil, Peppermint Oil for Swollen Lymph Nodes

I've had swollen lymph nodes from time to time and read about the castor oil remedy. Having used it for other healing, I decided to give it a try.

I took about a Tablespoon of castor oil and added a drop of peppermint oil. I rubbed this mix onto the lymph nodes and that's it! I read about this in the evening so I did it before bed. Next morning it was all gone.

Just one application has worked for me the 2-3 times I have needed it.

I had a lower molar implant about 20 years ago. Now, every once in a while, the lymph gland below it ( under my jaw) swells a little. It is more annoying than painful but I paint it with a mixture of DMSO and Lugol’s iodine and the lymph goes back to normal very quickly.

Frankincense oil immediately reduced the swollen glands in my throat and my sore throat. I used it straight Topically. And 6-8 drops in water as a gargle. (That bug was keeping me awake and I knew it was getting worse. ) I was able to sleep and did the same routine in the morning. Through out the day I rubbed the oil on my throat. I feel this stopped that cold in its tracks. I have rubbed it on my chest and neck where a cough forms and have found fast relief.

ACV for Swollen Lymph Nodes

Mimo792 (Morocco) on 12/07/2018

I moved to Morocco and the tiniest insect bit me and a couple of days later this huge ball grew on the front of my neck. I don't know what it is, could be a lymph node, a nodule or a thyroglossal cyst for all I know. Its basically soft, can be moved and goes up and down when I swallow.

Anyway so it has swollen seriously twice: the first time because of the bite and second time because I started smoking (work stress). Both times I panicked - doctors told me I'd probably need an operation.

Then I found earth clinic. I read about ACV and decided to do it. Small glass and just pour it in, don't really measure but probably between 2-4 table spoons.

IT WENT DOWN INSTANTLY BOTH TIMES. Before I drank it I also took a tea spoon of the mix, dipped my finger in it and rubbed it on the ball in my neck. It's now gone down at least 60% and its the second day. Same as what happened before, but before I didn't maintain it. I will maintain for a few weeks and let you know the outcome!

BIG UP ACV.

My dentist told me that tender swollen lymph nodes indicate infection while swollen lymph nodes that are not tender to the touch indicate cancer.

ACV and Herbs Helped Swollen Lymph Nodes

Took some mullein tincture AND some cleavers tincture (moves lymph) right after reading this, drank a glass of water with ACV, and went to lunch — For the first time in two days, chewing & eating didn't make my glands swell like a bad case of mumps and hurt so much I had to get a to-go box! Nope, I ate my whole lunch without pain, came home and looked in the mirror and saw that the whole left side of my face and neck is much less swollen!

Swollen Lymph Node Exercise Works Amazingly Fast

Nataliya (Ireland) on 03/28/2018

I decided to add my five cents to this great community. A few years ago my knee was sore and swollen on the backside. Of course, I went to the doctor who referred me to the physiologist. While I was waiting for the appointment (couple months), I was told about this simple exercise specifically for lymph nodes problems.

Every night in bed before falling asleep and every morning before getting up, I was on my back with my legs and arms up in the air, like a puppy when you rub its tummy ;) Relax and shake both arms and legs at the same time about 30 seconds (I count till 40), have a few seconds break if you need and shake again for another 30 seconds.

It took me only three-four days and all soreness and swelling were gone. By the time the invitation for the physio appointment arrived, I forgot why I needed it! I use this simple exercise every time the nodes are sore and it works like a miracle, and each time I am amazed.

Just two days ago I had some viral infection and lymph node in my armpit was sore, I did this simple exercise last night in bed and this morning the problem was gone again. I thought I should share it here. The theory behind this exercise is it helps the lymph actively move around and clear the nodes. Give it a go, you might solve the problem yourself while waiting for the doctor's appointment, like me :)

Iodine, Peppermint Oil for Swollen Lymph Glands

Tassi (Berkeley, Ca) on 12/27/2017
5 out of 5 stars

3 nights ago, I noticed that a hard round lump had sprung up behind my right ear, just below the edge of the skull, and it was somewhat painful. Within a couple of hours it seemed bigger and not able to be ignored. I also noted that the soft glands below my chin were swollen (not painful -- and my glands there have been noticeably puffy for the last 40 years, but this was a size increase) and my eyelid on the right side was puffy.

I came to Earth Clinic and looked for ideas -- I have Lugol's 5% iodine and organic peppermint essential oil, so I tried those. I got a tiny pinch of cotton (from some vitamin bottle) and put enough drops of iodine on it to lightly saturate it and bent forward and applied the cotton to the sore lymph node. After getting as much iodine out of the cotton as would squeeze out (it was not soaked enough to trickle out), I took it and rubbed it over the swollen glands under my chin, which painted them brownish.

An hour or so later I got the peppermint oil and a tiny piece of scrunched up paper towel and put a drop or so on that and held it on the lymph node for awhile, moving it around in a bit of a massage, plus running it all around the bottom edge of the skull, and then rubbing the iodine-painted glands below my chin. I did this a couple of times (hours apart) and by the next morning the glands and the hard node were MUCH reduced. Over the next day and a half I repeated about three more times, and now things are pretty much back to normal, at this moment at least. The node behind my ear is still palpable but very tiny and not painful.

Thanks, Earthclinic!

Epsom Salt Baths and Topical Treatment for Chronic Swollen Lymph Nodes

Anita (Minnesota) on 11/01/2017

My swollen glands were gone in one week with Epsom salt.

I've had swollen Lymph nodes most of my life. Drs have been no help. Every one of them telling me it's normal for some people ... what?. It was a C Pnuemonea infection not nothing.

The fastest way I've gotten rid of them is Epsom Salt. A daily very warm bath with 2 cups Epsom Salt (I also add 2 drops organic 100% Lavendar oil). Most important, I get in the bath and then take a handful of it close my hand and submege it just enough to get the Epsom Salt damp. Put it directly on the swollen gland. One was behind my ear. When I've done it I could feel a pulling sensation into my, ear canal, nasal cavity and gums. On the 3rd day I also put it on my face in my nasal cavity area and other lymph nodes. I can breath freely for the first time in more years than I can remember and my ear stopped hurting.

Also my skin is baby soft.

Remedies Not Helping Swollen Lymph Nodes and Cyst Near Tonsils

Megan (Us) on 03/11/2017
1 out of 5 stars

Cure needed. About three weeks ago I noticed two swollen lymph nodes. One on the back of my neck under my hair line and another on my neck under my jaw. I thought maybe I was just getting sick even though I had no cold symptoms. After about a week I found a white/yellow pimple like bump on the skin fold behind my tonsil but not touching my tonsil. I scoured the internet looking for a similar picture to what I had. I believe I have a lymphoepithelial cyst but I do not have insurance nor can I afford a doctor visit. I have been eating 1-2 cloves of raw garlic per day and drinking 3 tbsp of ACV. I have also been gargling with salt water and coconut oil and lightly massaging the node. I have not seen any improvement except the node on the back of my neck is a bit smaller. My only symptoms are the swollen lymph nodes which I believe are causing mild discomfort in my neck and ear. The cyst does not hurt.

I guess I am trying to see if anyone else has had this and has any advice. Thanks!

I would like to add for the swollen lymph nodes in the neck, to rub a small amount of Turpentine ( Pure gum Spirits ) along the lymph nodes on both sides of the neck. I did this and in less than 24 hours the nodes had went down and the infection was gone.

I started to get sick on Saturday, swollen lymph nodes in the neck, painful to swallow. My wife started to get sick yesterday. Found your remedy and tried the apple cider vinegar remedy. I took 2 tablespoons in a large glass of water. Started to feel better about 2 hours later. My wife hates vinegar and took 2 Tylenol. I drank another glass of apple cider vinegar last night. Lymph nodes back to normal this morning, just a slight cold and i am taking vitamin c and zinc for that. Wife not improved.

Had swollen lymph nodes in my neck from a virus I caught over the weekend. Saw these posts about app cider vinegar. Last night I took 2 tablespoons in a small glass of water and drank it quickly. I can't do shots of ACV, ughh. This morning my lymph nodes were not as swollen. I repeated the tonic twice more, after breakfast and after lunch. Lymph glands back to normal tonight. I will keep it up for another few days. Fantastic.

Echinacea for Swollen Lymph Node

Catlyn (Washington) on 08/20/2016

I've been trying out some of the remedies for a swollen lymph node in my neck. My doctor and NAET practitioner agree that's what it is. (If there isn't a section on Earth Clinic for NAET treatments, there should be.) Anyway, I started using echinacea and elderberry tea. It also has some other herbs in it. I made it up and drank 2-3 glasses a day cold. In less than a week, I had to go to the doctor because my heart was racing and when I took a deep breath it hurt from my chest up into my neck. I had read about some of the side effects of echinacea that morning before my appointment and thankfully thought to take the box with me to show her. She said it was definitely the tea, prescribed a drug to slow my heart rate down, and told me to drink lots of water. She said she's seen the same problem with energy drinks. So, after a few days off the tea and on the blood pressure medicine, I'm feeling back to normal. I'll be more cautious with the remedies I try next. I've used a homeopathic lymph tonic with echinacea and had no problems. I think it was the amount I was drinking with the tea this time, or perhaps the combination of all the herbs. I think I will stick with drinking apple cider vinegar and rubbing castor oil on the lymph node. The castor oil rub on a bone spur in my foot has worked well.

Castor Oil Healed Swollen Lymph Nodes an Infection

May All Be Blessed (Singapore) on 06/04/2016

I have been sick for around 2 months. It started with a cold then progress to severe cough and ended with lymph node infection. My ear and throat was in pain even when I talk and no matter what I do, it just doesn't heal completely. I was getting worried as it seems to take too long to heal. So I started to search for natural remedies for swollen lymph nodes and came across castor oil application. I did not do the whole protocol. I simply apply castor oil to the area behind my ears and around my neck where the lymph nodes are. After doing this for 3 consecutive nights, I purged out a lot of mucus and I was about 90% healed. One more time of application and I was healed 100%. The pain which has been plaguing me for 2 months was completely gone in 4 castor oil application! Amazing!

I have had swollen nodes or cyst for about a week now. Been scared to death, had ultrasound done but no results yet. Anyways after reading your entries I decided to try the ACV and I swear my neck an hour later feels almost completely normal. I feel a little lump there almost like a pea or a bean but nothing like it was. I'm in amazement.

Oil Pulling for Swollen Lymph Nodes

I currently have swollen lymph nodes, my very helpful scan person told me that there is basically nothing that doctors can do about it. I haven't tried apple cider vinegar, but have recently been swishing with coconut oil, 1 Tablespoon for around 20 minutes. Then spitting out because of toxins that build up during swishing. I have found that from the first day the pain that ran from my jaw to my collar bone has virtually disappeared, and all I have now is a sore throat. Very happy.

Apple Cider Vinegar Helped Swollen Lymph Nodes and Aching Jaw

Maybe because of a tooth issue, I have 2 or 3 painful lymph nodes and horrible ache in my jaw. I've been taking nsaids, pain meds, pain cream, lidocaine. Found this online and thought why not? It was awful tasting. Didn't work instantly, but overnight the jaw pain is 95% better and nodes 90% better. Finally relief after almost a week of misery. I don't know how it helps, but it (ACV) did.
